ZillowVERIFIED I had a very disappointing experience not only with Heather Bailey as my buyers agent, but also with her broker, Mark Haaga. After bringing serious concerns to his attention regarding Heathers conduct during my home purchase, I was extremely dissatisfied with how the situation was handled. I provided Mark with detailed information outlining multiple issues, including misrepresentation of zoning related to short-term rental legality, lack of due diligence, poor representation, and several unprofessional and unethical actions. These were not minor concernsaEUR"they directly impacted my financial situation and the viability of the property I purchased. I also made it clear that I had documentation to support my claims. Rather than taking my concerns seriously and conducting a fair review of the situation, Mark immediately defended his agent without, in my opinion, properly addressing the substance of the issues I raised. As an already unsatisfied client, I was hoping for accountability and a resolution. Instead, the situation escalated further. When I requested compensation for the damages and losses I have incurred as a result of this transaction, Mark chose to pursue legal action rather than work toward a reasonable resolution. Since then, he has stopped communicating with me altogether. In addition, I attempted to gather information from another agent within the brokerage who had relevant knowledge about statements made by the sellers agentaEUR"information that could support my efforts to seek compensation from the sellers side due to misleading claims about the property. I was informed that Mark instructed his agents not to assist me or provide any statements. This felt like an intentional effort to prevent transparency and accountability. As a result of these experiences, I have formally reported both Heather Bailey and Mark Haaga to the appropriate regulatory authorities, including the Utah Division of Real Estate and the Board of Realtors. From my perspective, the handling of this situation demonstrated a lack of professionalism, accountability, and ethical responsibility. Instead of addressing legitimate concerns raised by a client, Mark chose to defend his agent, escalate the situation legally, and cut off communication. I would strongly caution others to carefully consider their choice of brokerage, especially if they value transparency, accountability, and client advocacy. My experience left me feeling unsupported and without recourse during a very serious and financially impactful situation.

Mark picked us up from the hotel, showed us several homes in different areas and was completely genuine. We later moved to SLC and Mark found us a place to stay while we were house shopping. We had an issue with our first company we went with to where we and Margaux could not get a hold of our lender who was out of state. Margaux referred is to a local lender who also is awesome and that we can contact the lender aEURoeany time of the dayaEUR? Margaux also has awesome negotiation skills to where she went above and beyond to get our sellers to cover a good portion of the closing costs even when they at first werent going to cover anything at all. I highly recommend Margaux and her team at Mark Haaga.

ZillowVERIFIED Mark was absolutely fantastic throughout our entire process of selling our home and negotiating the purchase and build of our new home. We highly recommend Mark to anyone who sells, buys existing, or builds a new home. He helped us prepare our home that we were selling and detailed exactly what would happen during this process. Mark was spot on with these details and priced our home at the perfect price point to get a lot of interest and traffic. We weren't certain if we needed an agent with our new build, but this was by far one of our best decisions to stick with Mark. He did not allow the builder to bully us around and went to the negotiating table numerous times on our behalf. He went above and beyond his job description and often times would go to the city to verify what the builder was telling us. Mark saved us thousands of dollars on many intricate details during our building process. We have been in our new home that we absolutely love for almost a month now and Mark still continues to follow up with us on punch list items to ensure they are taken care of by the builder. Like we mentioned earlier we HIGHLY recommend Mark Haaga and appreciate all that he did to make a usually stressful situation less hectic.
