My wife and I have been living in NYC for some time now, but with a new kid we decided to escape and make the move up to Westchester. Lisa and Estelle were with us every step of the way, despite the craziness of the market at the time we were buying. They were fun to visit houses with and we never felt an ounce of pressure to buy or put down offers--if anything Lisa was there to advise us and protect us against making any bad decisions in our eagerness to find a home. With her experience we felt like we could trust her recommendations 100%--it's clear that she and Estelle love what they do and have the best interest of their clients at their heart, even when their clients are buyers and their payment will be coming from sellers. They are the ultimate professionals in this field. When we shifted our target area from northern Westchester to more southern Westchester/Yonkers area, Lisa stuck with us even though that's not her primary territory. She seems to know everything and everyone in real estate field of northern Westchester but even in this new territory she was able to use her connections to help us out. Her experience and connections in the field also make the whole process so much easier than it would be otherwise. She was able to connect us with a wonderful loan officer and bank for our mortgage, a lawyer to help us through the process once we settled on a house, and ultimately CertaPro painters who are currently painting our new house and refinishing the floors. As first-time homebuyers, whenever we had a question about how the homebuying process worked we turned to Lisa first and she always had an answer or connection. We would recommend Lisa to anyone in the process of buying or selling without a second's hesitation and will surely be working with her and her team again for any future sales or buys of our own.

Lisa would explain the pros and cons of each home we visited covering things we didn't know much about such as oil tanks, well water, and septic, but also has a keen eye for what living in the home would be like. She quickly learned what our priorities were and sent us listings that matched (including up-and-coming properties that weren't listed yet).They were both very responsive. Either answering our calls immediately or texting back within 5-10 minutes.We saw upwards of 15 houses and when the perfect home was found, Lisa provided the guidance needed to negotiate an offer that would get it accepted without us overpaying. Our story began long ago when we thought we didn't need an agent and would find everything ourselves because my wife and I are avid researches. After we realized we actually needed an agent we spoke to some on the phone and met some in person as well. While I imagine they are fine agents we were not impressed and didn't believe someone could bring value to us. This all changed when we met Lisa Berliner back in October 2012. After 5 minutes we knew Lisa was the best and the right Realtor for us. She immediately understood our "must haves" "wants" etc in a house and really took the time to get us as a couple. Lisa was very patient and showed us every house she could. She would often show us houses and say "OK Justin will love this, that and this" and "Lynn will hate this and that but LOVE this but this isn't the house for you. I am showing you for value". We went on numerous walk-throughs just to see what prices are in different neighborhoods and what you get for your money. Her efforts and dedication were second to none. Throughout the process we developed an amazing partnership I never imagined could exist. Being a first time home buyer we didn't really know what to expect but Lisa delivered with knowledge, assistance and constant enthusiasm. She even had her husband come to a house to look over before we put an offer in. I know this is my first time at the rodeo but I can't imagine anyone providing this much tailored and personal service. However, she seemed to be having a bit too much on her plate and rarely followed up on actionnables that she, herself, had suggested could help.Once we had an accepted offer, Lisa disapproved of the lawyer we picked. From then on, she became unresponsive and distanced herself from the process. We only heard from Lisa once -- a voice mail message -- in the following 8 weeks, and that was after I had contacted her manager to complain about it. She was not only unhelpful, she added an unnecessary layer of stress to a stressful process.
