ZillowVERIFIED Some years ago, when we bought a house in Austin, TX, we simply called the first agent listed on Zillow. Later, we had to enlist the help of a realtor friend to help close the deal - embarrassing. So, when we decided to sell our house in Cartersville, GA, we made a point to really do our homework when choosing a realtor. Dusty had a video on his website that really spoke to me as someone who knows what hes doing. That said, we still went ahead and interviewed three different realtors, walking through the house with each of them. Two of the three were actually located closer to us, and one had a lot of experience selling homes in a higher price range. From the start, Dusty was a great listener. His replies were honest - not always telling me what I wanted to hear - but he consistently backed up his advice with solid data. It was clear that he would do his best for us, and that he had the resources to support it. So we went with him. As it turned out, the market was tough - just as he had said it would be. But we received an offer, and he expertly guided us through the process. At one point, there was a hiccup: we offered to give a little, asking the buyer to give a little as well, but things began to stall. Dusty came back the next day saying, aEURoeIts handled.aEUR? I replied, aEURoeDont tell me what you had to do to pull that offaEUR? - but thank you! That pretty much sums up the entire experience.
