Buying a home is an overwhelming project. There are so many facets that needs to be addressed, analyzed and decided in a very short period of time, especially in a competitive market. You need a knowledgeable and experienced agent and a whole team support. Kristine and the folks at Long and Foster did just that, and we were able to purchase a really good dream home, at a highly competitive location, at a time when there are usually no good properties coming out. Kristine gave us the guidance for properties to be aware of prior to this one, but when she gave us the green light on this one, we were confident to make the decision. This team was a group of true pros. To achieve the result, most of the days during the purchase, we worked and communicated way into the night time. Especially the offer we made was at close to midnight, Kristine was traveling back from a long distance, and yet still did all the work that night! Same goes with the mortgage, title, insurance teams. I have never worked with such a devoted group of people. This is how we got our dream home. When looking for an agent our priorities were communication, help with preparation, & a quick smooth sales process because of correct pricin. If you hate long reviews just know Kristine ticks all these boxes. I contacted her in June 2025 and she immediately replied to my text & in 2 days she came for a visit, reviewed the property & gave us recommendations for updates in preparation for our sale and contacts to perform the work. When questioned about selling aEURoeas isaEUR? vs doing the updates she pointed out that in a hot market with high prices buyers were looking for move in ready properties. Kristine recommended only updates that what we as buyers wanted in the properties we wanted. After 17 years in the house these all were needed. I believe the transformation in our home dramatically increased our offer. I did not know that realtors use virtual staging & photography would be much easier with with us out of the home. She advised us to move then prep then sell. Thanks to Kristine, by July we had a new house under contract we began kitchen renovations on the former home. Her expertise meant we paid less than we might have with a different agent & so I recommended her to two friends who also bought homes through her in this time period in Clark County &Springfield, respectively. Kristine showed us homes as far away as Alexandria. Her team for the closing period was also incredibly efficient and both closings went smoothly. Kristine was in constant communication with us throughout the buying & selling process. She also provided an array of services to us both as buyers & sellers. The photographs &drone footage she arranged for our listing included about 100 stunning photos. She staged the house after we moved out with plants on the porches neutral homey touches in the baths & kitchen & provided the virtual staging that showed in the photos what it could look like furnished. While our house was on the market we lived 30 minutes away so Kristine watered the plants on the porch & picked up our residual mail. My husband and I were incredibly worried that the location & timing after back to school might mean we would supporting the house for months in a cooling market. Kristine worked out a pricing strategy she thought was appropriate for the location and to maximize online views. Her Long & Foster network meant we had lots of showings. She also knew that a fast closing was important to us. We were very tense for the first two weeks the house was for sale without an offer & my husband wanted to drop the price but Kristine encouraged us to hold firm for at least a month. In the end we listed on 9-24, got a solid well qualified buyers with an offer on 10-10 & closed on 10-30. Kristine helped us understand needed inspection remediations. The day of the close Kristine received a panicky call from the buyers agent with a potentially closing delaying issue but she used strategic thinking to problem solve ensuring the sale went through without us even knowing that had happened. When you work with a real estate agent to make what for most people is the biggest purchase or sale of your life, it is incredibly important to have someone who has the ability to be kind, collected, quick thinking & professional.
