My husband and I had just gotten separated at that time and were in the middle of an emotionally draining divorce process. Khalil was very professional and patient throughout the process as there was a lot of lack of communication, uncertainty and disagreements between me and my husband. He understood how sensitive this process was to us and to our child especially, so the house showings were done by appointment only to avoid non- serious buyers. Eight years before, he was also the one who helped me to buy the same home which was sold. His team has grown leaps and bounds since then. His team has a stager, handy man to fix any work needed, listing agent, showing crew and settlement co-ordinator, and more. Khalil being the principal broker was always available to provide suggestion on the market, home improvement needed, pricing strategies and offer negotiations on the selling side. I have personally found the new home by myself but got the help of Khalil to validate the new home market and in negotiating a rebate for my new home with the new construction builder which could be a hard process. ZillowVERIFIED We worked with Khalil and his team after being referred by a friend. We flew in from overseas for one week to house shop in the Arlington area - we informed Khalil multiple times that we were flying in for only one week and were committed to making offers quickly and closing as soon as possible due to the time constraint and living overseas. By day 2 we had a house we wanted to make an offer on - long story short, it took Khalil more than 72 hours to get the offer in. During that 72 hours, Khalil's communication with us varied from completely non-responsive to aggressive. Even his team member we were working with was confused by his delayed response. When the offer was submitted, it had major errors including the wrong offer price and misspellings. At the end of the week we found out that we lost the house from a real estate public listing update. At that point, we decided to go with a different realtor instead of proceeding any further with Khalil. Would recommend going with literally any other realtor. We are still confused by the terrible experience we had as we were motivated, flexible and had a substantial budget to work with. We closed with another realtor just a few weeks later.

Khalil spent time getting to know what we're looking for so that when we looked at homes and when it came time to decide how much to offer and what terms to offer, it felt very comfortable. Obviously, we valued his expertise because we chose to use him again the second time around and to sell the first house we'd bought. Also, the significant cash rebate after the closing sure was nice! ZillowVERIFIED Khalil is an excellent agent and we are very happy we chose him. This was our first time buying a house and, while I was well prepared with knowledge about the entire process, we decided to work with Khalil following a recommendation from one of my colleagues (who did 5 transactions with him). I am very thorough on determining the price of the house and every single time Khalil and I got the same value (unbelievable, considering the wide mismatch we had with our previous real estate agent). His negotiation approach won us the contract in a situation with multiple buyers (he recommended to exclude the financing contingency and add in the escalation clause). After we discovered issues during the home inspection, he got us a higher amount than what the seller offered, much closer to the cost of the repairs (in my opinion). He gave us advice, but he did not make decisions for us. Just make sure his business model fits you: you search the house, decide which one you want (Oscar and Jeff will show them to you), then he steps in for the negotiation and closing. We visited houses with Oscar and he was very helpful pointing out details of the properties. Victoria did a great job preparing the documents and coordinating the entire process. We will definitely use Khalil next time we need a real estate agent.

ZillowVERIFIED After finding my own house and asking for a viewing, they were very responsive. I must have been the easiest client, because I looked at one house for 10 minutes and put in an offer. The next afternoon I received an email string from Khalil. That morning the buyer's realtor asked if we'd take counters, then two hours later telling us there was another bid in and to submit our best and final at our soonest. I responded with my best and final. I tried reaching Khalil via text, phone call and email with no response all day. Finally, that evening I called Victoria very upset due to lack of response and the urgency to respond with the best and final. I signed a contract that evening. The next day I received an email from Khalil stating they went with the other offer. I contacted the seller's realtor, and he stated he didn't hear from us so they took the other offer. So, basically I lost the house due to lack of response. There wasn't even a phone call or explanation or apology. The rebate is nice, but is it worth the lack of customer service needed to win a bid in this market? Totally unacceptable and unprofessional. In addition, the comps they sent me on the house were extremely high and included other houses that were 1000 sq ft bigger. Luckily, my friend is a realtor and she sent me the "real" comps. This business is obviously focused on making money and not getting you the best price. I received no call or information on the seller's position.

If you don't use them, you're leaving money on the table. 2% back on an expensive townhouse in the Merrifield area was extremely helpful for us. Blows other comparable services out of the water.
