We were relocating from San Diego to our home town of Bakersfield, and when we decided to start looking, Kathy immediately got us set up with homes to check out online. When we scheduled trips to look at homes, Kathy made herself available to us all day so we could fit in as many showings as possible. Even in between our trips, she would meet our parents and do showings over Facetime. We were so grateful for her tailoring her traditional approach to us trying to decide on a house from afar. She spent the time with us explaining each step in the process from offering to escrow and constantly went above and beyond alleviating our concerns. Our seller used a real estate company that lacked in communication, ease of process, and personableness, but Kathy rose to fill the gaps that the company created. They made sure to make the stressful process of selling and purchasing a new home so much easier and were always readily available at all hours of the day, anytime we had questions or concerns they were there (which we LOVED) Before choosing a real estate agent, I conducted a lot of research to see who would be the best choice based on the investment they make into selling the property (time and effort, not necessarily financially) and how they promote their listings. Watson Realty team (Mike & Kathy Rivera) really stood out as the best Bakersfield has to offer: their rankings are excellent (meaning people find listings on Watsons site easily), their social media presence was strong, and I could tell they put a lot of work into their listings. We first met & spoke with Mike at one of his Open Houses and his approach, personality his demeanor made us very comfortable with him, we then met with him & his lovely wife at our home. They spent as long as we needed answering our questions, providing objective data regarding how many homes they sell, how long their listings typically stay on the market, and providing tons of info on comps in the area. We were concerned that our house, which was located in a very great neighborhood, but was smaller than the usual home in our neighborhood would be tough to sell. They (Mike & Kathy Rivera) made the process incredibly easy, reassured us that our home would sell and took extra step many other Realtors don't (but should), like having a pro come and give us staging tips, having professional photographs taken, and a lot more. When we saw our listing we were very pleased. Their hard work, dedication and knowledge of what it takes to sell a home really paid off and they have it - our listing looked amazing and knocked out the competition which in turn brought us our buyers. It couldn't have been a more pleasant experience working with them both it has brought a memorable experience and friendship along the way.
