I work with all types of clients. There is nothing more inspiring than working with first time home buyers. Helping them through this life milestone is incredibly fulfilling. I have also worked with high end luxury clients. These homes are so interesting and jaw-dropping beautiful it is hard not to smile. I started my real estate career off as an investor, so for me, I am intrigued by the financial and analytical side of investment properties. One of the reasons I love my job is that I love helping people. Moving my family cross country and purchasing a house and taking it to the studs allows me to give first hand experience to my clients that are in similar situations.

After her youngest went off to kindergarten, I was trying to figure out what I wanted my next steps to be and I decided to get my license so that I could buy more investment properties and represent myself.

The best advice I can give to a buyer is to educate yourself on the market. Austin is extremely unique in that every neighborhood is very different depending upon the year built, pricing, hidden pitfalls and benefits. Having an agent that is well versed in all these areas will help you find the perfect home for you.

The best advice I can give sellers is 'go into selling your home with eyes wide open.' Selling your home can be a beat down. I always tell people that emotionally you are selling a home that you have lived your life in, physically you are packing up all of your belongings. and financially you may be putting money into a house where you are not going to live. This can be really hard and exhausting for sellers. When looking for a realtor to help you through this, ensure that you have someone that is not going to sugar coat this process and will help you manage all that comes with selling a home.

My last transaction was a young couple that were relocating to Austin from Boston. They chose to move to Austin for a better quality of life. This is the same reason that my husband and I relocated to Austin, so I could totally resonate with that feeling. They were first time home buyers who were getting married in the spring. They did not want to really get anything until after they were married. I started educating them on the different neighborhoods and met with them while they were here on vacation. A couple of weeks after their visit they reached out because there was a house that looked like a match. I did a video tour with them and they said it was 'the one'. Even in the slower time of the year, we were in a multiple offer situation. Luckily they won the offer and came in to see the house after we were under contract. This is always a little nerve wracking for me but they said it was exactly as described on the video. It was smooth sailing to the closing table 22 days later.
