Q: 1. What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?

Start with a clear picture of what you can comfortably afford and what you want your everyday life to look like. Get pre-approved early, and choose an agent who will point out concerns as readily as they point out a great kitchen. You should feel informed and prepared to make a decision, without feeling pushed into one.

Q: 2. What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?

Get an agent involved before you start spending money getting the house ready. Some improvements help you sell, and others just cost you money. Pricing, preparation, photography, and marketing all need to work together from the start. Choose someone who will give you an honest assessment and a clear plan, even if it’s not exactly what you hoped to hear.

Q: 3. What types of clients have you worked with?

I’ve worked with first-time buyers, homeowners buying their next home, people downsizing, military families, and clients relocating to Colorado. My work includes everything from first homes to luxury and mountain properties. People come into this process with different priorities and levels of experience, so I tailor my approach to the person I’m working with.

Q: 4. Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?

I recently helped a family buy a larger home to better fit their growing family while also selling their current house. Coordinating both took some work, especially when we had inspection issues to address on their next home and a long list of requests from the buyers of their current one. We worked through each issue, sorted out what deserved attention, and negotiated both sides while keeping their priorities in focus. I kept them informed and helped them weigh their options so they could make decisions without feeling overwhelmed. Both transactions came together, and they were able to move into a great home with room for their family to grow.

Q: 5. How did you get started in Real Estate?

Before real estate, I spent many years in healthcare, working in emergency and critical care, medical missions, disaster relief, and aeromedical evacuation with the Air National Guard. Serving people has always been a big part of my life, but I reached a point where I wanted to serve my community in a different way. A close friend convinced me to get my real estate license and became a great mentor along the way. The rest is history. I still get to help people through big decisions, just in a very different setting.

Q: 6. Do you have any special education or training that will benefit your clients?

I hold multiple certifications and accreditations, including Accredited Buyer’s Representative and Military Relocation Professional, along with certifications in luxury real estate and helping clients relocate. I’ve worked on top-selling brokerage teams and have been recognized as a top team producer. My past education and training in healthcare and the military, where I held a number of leadership roles, taught me to stay calm under pressure, pay attention to details, and help people make informed decisions in stressful situations. Those skills continue to help me serve my clients well when buying or selling a home. At my previous brokerage, I worked on a top sales team and was recognized as a top team producer, ranking in the top 2% of agents. I’ve also continued my training with the Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR) and Military Relocation Professional (MRP) designations, along with certifications in luxury real estate and relocation. That combination of experience and education helps me guide clients through both the practical details and the challenges of buying or selling a home.

Community Involvement

Our church is a big part of our lives, and my wife and I serve in several roles there. I also volunteer when I can at a local ranch that helps children and adults build confidence and work through life's challenges by working with horses. I also serve on the board of our local Chamber of Commerce and enjoy being involved in the Golden community.

HOBBIES/INTEREST

Outside of real estate, I enjoy snowboarding, fishing, hiking, and camping. My wife and I love getting outside with and enjoying everything Colorado has to offer.

FAMILY

My wife and I call Golden home and share our life with a large, fluffy dog. We're excited to have our first child on the way. We love living close to the mountains and being part of this community.
