He worked extremely hard..diligently, ambitiously, professionally and personally for us. He actually cared that we get the house we needed to meet our needs. There were some extenuating circumstances we were dealing with -- he understood, took that into account as he did his research. John is a family man with a wife and two children (and one on the way at this review). He gets the importance of finding for families what those families need in housing. His response time getting back to me and/or immediately answering his phone when I called was VERY prompt. The time he gave me on the phone was never rushed...I NEVER felt like I was just a number -- always like I was important to him as a client. He never made me feel dumb for asking any question or requesting any feature in a house...but always took my viewpoint into consideration...and, at the same time, was honest in suggesting other options if my suggestions were not reasonable or feasible. ZillowVERIFIEDFrom the very beginning when my husband and I met with John Tinsley about finding a home we knew we wanted to work with him throughout our whole journey. We were first time home buyers and we were looking for just the right home to start out, I mean strict criteria. We are not the first time home buyers that put in criteria on a website and let it be a sliding scale. We didnt move from those numbers, nor did we budge with what we were looking for when we told John. We had worked with other realtors that had done their jobs, but they had either lost contact over a few weeks, were just way over the top with forcing options, pricing and just homes that didnt match our criteria, or pushed us aside because we were ?first time? home buyers. John stuck by our side the whole time and was sending us searches every few weeks that actually fit our criteria! At times we were asking him if he wanted to back out because we felt so bad, because we were making it so hard with what we were searching for. We had placed an offer on a house over a year ago before we had met John that didnt work out and the realtor just gave up. During our contract term (and no we weren?t afraid to sign a term agreement with John) with John, he had emailed me one day out of the blue this house again that my husband and I had given up on, but we both really loved it for the land and it fell a few $1,000 above our price range. John was determined to help us figure out a way to make this happen. John isnt your average realtor who just reads you your terms and sits at a desk. He is very creative! He decides to separate the land and the house because we really just wanted the land that came with the property. The owners say no, but it gets the owners to start thinking about the value they have been sitting on for a long period of time. We continue to do the counteroffers and not long after we are signing a contract with John Tinsley for the entire property valued ?way under? the original offered price of the property. Renovations are currently underway and we plan to be in our new home by the middle of 2014! We are now homeowners :) Thank you John, it has been great to build a wonderful friendship. 2013-2014
