ZillowVERIFIED Please understand, I am not someone that ever writes reviews, but I sure do read them ..lol. I usually scroll down to the ppl that give 4's because I figure they are the most honest. Unfortunately, I seriously can't do that for John. He is beyond a 5* in every category. Right off the start, he didn't look at the issues of my house but all the possibilities. He was excited and positive throughout the whole sale experience. No sale is a 100% smooth, but with any issue at all he was right there, the first one calling to solve the problem, and always keeping me in the loop. I never had to chase him down or direct him to make calls. He was on top of everything! It was an absolute pleasure to work with him and I would absolutely recommend him hands down!!!

He immediately explained how the process will go (we were first time home buyers), and promptly provided valuable information about how to find a mortgage broker. And, of course, he started to send lists of houses based on what we were looking for. As we started to visit homes for sell, he was very sensitive to our needs, immediately adjusted the lists. During the house visits he provided good information about the location of the houses, construction types, interior designs, etc. Whenever we had a question, he answered promptly, even in the weekends. I tucked a note away jotting down Johns contact information for later. During the pandemic, I was nearing the end of my one-year lease. In spite of COVID and staying at home as much as I could, I knew I also had to somehow find a home to buy.When I called John, he was immediately responsive. We met up at one property and John was remarkable. He listened carefully and was extremely skillful in helping me to determine that this particular home likely was not the best choice for me. We went back to his office and he set up auto notifications specific to the details I wanted in my home. Every day listings appeared in my inbox until one day a condo that looked like the ideal home for me (that also happened to be in my first choice of a neighborhood) came across my screen. I called John. He met me onsite that day and I made an offer. Closing on the home was today and I cannot wait to settle into my new place. It is the perfect match for me! SO what makes John Murphy a realtor par excellence? For starters, he is consistently attentive and communicative and knowledgeable and organized and detail oriented. ZillowVERIFIED If you need a realtor, John Murphy should be your #1 Agent!John won me over from the beginning... I originally listed our home as a FSBO in 2017 just to test the market and John reached out to offer his assistance. He was not pushy nor demanding, and he didn't even really discourage me from going down the FSBO road. Instead, he offered me some advice and even provided the contact information for a local photographer who took some amazing photos of our home. I knew then that if I ever needed a realtor, John would be the one and I told him as much. We had some traffic but after about 30 days we decided not to sell. Fast forward to 2019 and we became serious about selling. I called John and began the conversation. We agreed to list in the spring of 2020 but in mid-January John advised that go ahead and list on 1 February. We reluctantly agreed. The rest is history. Dues to his keen timing of the market and ability to market our home, we had multiple offers within the first 10 days of listing. We settled on an offer that was well over our asking price! Throughout the entire process, John was with us every step of the way. He kept us informed of every little detail and ensured the transaction closed on time. He took my FSBO sign and added it to his collection. We also partnered with John when searching for our new home. He worked tirelessly to show us 30-40 homes until we found the perfect one. I should add that weren't easy to please. But John opened the 40th door with the same optimism and professionalism as he did the 1st door. He completed the purchase transaction of our new home with the same attention to detail as he did the selling of our old home. Through some stressful situations, John was always pleasant and patient. Well, we saw a house and knew that it was the one. We contacted John and he went right to work getting us in touch with a lender who approved us on a Sunday evening! He got us back in the house to look it over with us on a Monday and had our contract presented on Tuesday! And it wasn't like it had been three years since we talked-John does an excellent job of staying in touch with his clients throughout the years just to be a resource and a friend.We must have looked at a dozen homes with John in fairly short order. He was accommodating of our schedule and patient with us as we continued to not find what we were looking for. John was the one who suggested we look at new construction, which wound up being the route we went. It's easy to think that when buying a brand new home that you don't need a realtor. Having John on our team to ask the questions we didn't know to ask was so valuable.When we found the new construction house that we loved, we didn't want to let it get away. So we placed our faith in John that we would be able to sell our current home in a timely manner. John worked with us to get our house on the market within the week.
