He was also very helpful with comps when negotiating and sharing area trends. When selling he took care of the professional photos for the home and provided guidance on making the home look best for showings. We ran into some smaller issues when selling and John was super helpful navigating and negotiating through those to get the home sold. I would highly recommend John when selling or purchasing a home in the greater Boulder county area.

ZillowVERIFIED John coming into our lives was an accident. We saw a house for sale near our apartment and requested to see it via Zillow. John ended up being agent and the reason we looked at other houses, eventually putting an offer in on our dream home. We got the keys on Friday.John walked us through every step of being first time home buyers with patience and expertise, explaining things that our lenders (who shall not be named) neglected to mention. He kept every plate spinning while we stumbled through the process and even helped urge our lenders towards actually meeting our deadlines.Throughout the entire process, it felt as if John only had our interests in mind, even urging us NOT to put offers in on homes that he thought were not worth our time or money. I know he has many clients, but he never made us feel as if we had to compete for his time.I would recommend him to anyone looking for a real estate person in the greater Boulder area. He's very honest, and he took time to tell me about the sales price, the market, the offer, etc. During the sale, he hosted several tours of the unit. He also helped me negotiate a better price on repairs by hiring a window inspector to better assess the window damages and save money (he even payed me for the window repair cash allowance I had to pay the buyers).He could have explained a few parts of the process a little better. For example, apparently we didn't realize until it was too late that any curtains on the windows count as part of the unit, so we had to leave good curtains behind. There also was very little warning for me to sign the closing documents, have them notarized and sent back in a few hours using priority shipping.

We were in a weird sub-market that made comparisons difficult. The property was occupied by a tenant. Buyers backed out, their agents regurgitating bad information while HOA agents wouldn't return calls. The listing was long and discouraging.John didn't cause this grief. Rather, he's the only reason we succeeded!John stayed with us when I was about ready to throw in the towel. He was always on it and we would not have sold without him. And he did this while we were 1200 miles away; we still haven't met face to face. I hope to never have such a dark and ugly experience again, but if I do, I'll be calling John without hesitation! (If I were him I'd run the other way.)
