He is not a cheerleader who is going to tell you every home is great while trying to make a sale - in fact he actively steered us away from certain homes and he was right! Instead, John will tell you: heres why this house is a good fit, these are the pluses, heres pluses you might not even think about. And here are the negatives - the driveway, the way the snow falls from the roofline, this road can be busy etc etc. Things you really WANT to know, but few realtors will tell you! His approach is very matter-of-fact, professional and supportive. He sent us videos of any homes we asked to see and ones he thought were right for us so we were only driving up to see homes that were good possibilities. His 20+ years of Truckee living helps tremendously to ensure no surprises are encountered post-sale. And his response time to every message was usually 60 seconds, no matter the time of day. Yes, its expected for this profession, but John just seems to do it better than any other realtor weve worked with in the past. Johns demeanor was mature and trustworthy. John was never one to push for a sale. His timeline is your timeline when buying a house. Can be two weeks, two months, two years. Hes patient and wants to find whats best for each person. He understands this is a BIG purchase. As a first-time buyer in the Truckee area, I had no idea what was needed post-sale. ZillowVERIFIED I want to thank John Biebl for his help with buying our 2nd home at Tahoe. He was our 3rd realtor since we couldnt get anywhere in the current overheated sellers market. Like many buyers nowadays, we bought the property unseen and had to rely on John to visit and checkout the properties, take pictures and video clips, and to a large degree rely on his judgement and understanding of what we were looking for.But what John brought in to make our hunting successful besides just knowing the market, area, properties and the transactional procedures, which is what you expect from any realtor, it was his ability to efficiently and timely communicate with the sellers realtor. This allowed us to get the information we needed to write a successful offer. When one of our offers was finally accepted and we thought that we were done, he actually solved a major problem for us, that we never really contemplated. Since we bought the property empty and without any furnishings, we needed someone to take care of the many deliveries that we couldnt practically receive in our home 8 hours away. We have had sent many furniture pieces to his office, which he would then drop off in our garage and also had him meet and oversee several contractors and large deliveries at the home. The fact that he stuck with, and really still does, made the entire process over now several months much simpler and manageable. We cannot recommend him more.

ZillowVERIFIED My advice to anyone selecting an agent is to research reviews rather than take a recommendation from a friend. We did that and landed on John to help us find a home. Without question, it was the right decision. We were looking for a vacation home and live out of state. On our initial trip he showed us about 15 houses, following our broad guidance on what we were after. In that process he helped us land on our priorities for size, location, lot, neighborhood, etc. He also educated us on the importance of the right kind of roof for major snow storms, the significance of the pitch of a driveway, and how to identify quality build. Following that initial visit, we worked with him for about two months remotely, which was a breeze. He monitored listings daily, then emailed us a video of any house he looked at on our behalf, pointing out the pluses and minuses. There was never any undue pressure, and in fact when we expressed our concerns about finding the right place within our timeframe, he encouraged us to be patient. His advice was right, and we found the perfect vacation home. The negotiation and closing process was smooth. Equally as important, John has remained available since the sale closed to advise us on local resources including restaurant recommendations, local services, hiking trails and he has even assisted with deliveries which occurred while we were gone. If you want someone that is intelligent, experienced and most of all, an honest and nice guy - you can't go wrong with John and his colleagues.
