ZillowVERIFIED Joe and Becca are simply the best agents and we would give 7 STARS out of 5 if that was possible. They consistently went beyond what is expected and the results speak for themselves. We started off looking for a new home somewhat casually and ended up looking at dozens of homes over 2 years. Never once, did they pressure us into making a decision and instead helped provide unbiased thoughts, ideas and suggestions, even when it meant passing on a house and retreating into search mode again. And of course we were picky and finicky buyers making the job a bit difficult. But they always answered the phone and always found a way to make a showing or take care of our needs or concerns. Eventually in March, we found a perfect house for our needs and of course they helped us to negotiate a great deal for what we wanted. Regarding the sale of our old house, is where their expertise was particularly special. We had a lot of decisions on how much to fix up our old house before selling. We knew we wanted to paint and maybe fix up the kitchen but wanted it done fast since we were paying two mortgages and had less than $10K for a budget. Joe and Becca came over and brainstormed some ideas for what we could do to modernize the house so it would sell better. Even though we werent sure about some of the ideas we know Becca and Joe are the experts and we followed their advice......much to our benefit. Joe even met with contractors to get bids on his own in order to provide us with all our options. Besides general contractors we also got names of extremely affordable painters and countertops installers. In the end we decided to contract out the work separately and do a little ourselves. In our estimation we paid about $6,500 for the renovations that ended up increasing our asking price by $25,000. Then Becca came in and did her thing with staging. WOW -We were astounded by the look she created, and everyone we showed our pictures to that were familiar with our house, couldnt believe that was the same house and that it looked so vibrant and fresh and different. The best part of all was we had an offer $10K over asking on the first full day. I attribute this to the amazing job staging and secondly to Joe and Beccas advertising and understanding of the market and current desires from buyers. I have already been recommending Grey Duck and Brix to my coworkers who have completed sales with them and they have agreed with our ratings. Not only do they do a great job but they keep the whole process fun and sane. Without hesitation anyone looking to buy or especially sell their house should sign with Grey Duck and Brix, it will be the best decision you make in the whole process.

After a conversation to understand what I am looking for, Joes first suggestion was not buying it. Thats the way Joe does business: he protects us rather than gets the contract signed and collects the money. Joe is always happy to show the property we want to take a look, no matter it is a good property or likely to be a bad property, no matter it fits our budget or beyond our budget. He always makes himself available, and in a very few times he couldnt, he gets us well covered by his good fellow. We were in difficult situations picking a right property, making an fair offer, and even negotiating with some seller who dislikes real estate professionals. During the months I and my wife were looking for a home in the tough market for buyers, it has been a huge comfort to have Joe representing us with his years experience. The house we finally bought is a lot better than what we thought we could have in the beginning. And Joe made it even better by bringing us a whole basket of useful stuffs that only homeowners can come up with, after we signed the the final contract. Whats more valuable to us is the warm congratulations Joe and Becca wrote to us in the card. The message is surely from good friends beyond the relationship between realtor and client. I was nervous about searching for a home while living so far from the location I wanted to buy but Joe made the entire process easy. We used FaceTime to tour homes and he was accommodating to my schedule and flexible enough to meet up last minute with my father who traveled 3 hours to see a home in person for me. Joe was very responsive to emails, phone calls and texts and although I was purchasing a modestly-priced home, Joe made me feel as though I was a priority. Joe checked in frequently to make sure I had no concerns or unanswered questions up until the day of closing. ZillowVERIFIED Not only is Joe a great guy, but he introduced us to a home in Shoreview that I otherwise would have missed, where we now live and which has turned out to be both better and cheaper than I could have imagined we would find. Just as importantly, he walked me through how to best negotiate down the price, including how to negotiate $2500 extra off the price after our inspection turned up a few minor issues (the $2500 he got us was far more than the cost of fixing the issues). Unlike some other realtors I could definitely tell that his opinions were 100% honest and focused on our needs, as he often persuaded us against buying overly expensive properties, even though they would have lead to a bigger payday for him as the realtor. His amiable, reassuring personality also made a stressful process a lot easier. We definitely plan to recommend him to friends and work with him again if we ever move!

If we found a home that they didnt think worked for our needs, we would leave the tour pretty quick and theyd encourage us to wait until we found the right home. Joe understood when to add requests during the negotiation process. Because of this we received a credit of around $3500 for furnace and door replacements. We closed on the house in August. Joe even drove pizza over while we moved in. Late November we get an email from Joe reminding us on paperwork deadlines for our county. You are still their client AFTER the sale which is fantastic.

ZillowVERIFIED Joe was incredibly helpful--I wasnt really sure what I wanted going in, but he was able to show me several different kinds of properties (condos, homes, flats) that fit all my needs, my budget, and personal style. He was great dealing with questions coming at him from all directions (my parents AND sister came along on many of my showings) so there were questions about the feel of the neighborhoods, nearby property values, construction questions--Pretty much a little of everything. He was also very responsive and always quick to get back to me. Finally, when it came time to purchase my house he helped me through all the crazy stuff you have to do and answered all of my questions (even the dumb ones.) All around a pretty great realtor, though I was a bit more ambitious than he was in getting the house for a substantial amount under asking price, but I was also quite lucky!

We had no idea where to start and I actually stumbled upon Joe when looking at a property on Zillow, and I am so thankful I did! He walked us through the entire process, he is extremely knowledgable in anything and everything to do with finding your new home! He connected me with an amazing broker who also has been great to work with (who also speaks very highly of his history with Joe) He got to know our preferences and likes/dislikes and would send us home listings that matched. He is easy to talk to to. Communicates quickly and thoroughly! On the rare occasion I can be a tad impatient at times..and he is on the ball 24/7! Hes a busy guy but you could never guess that, he always responded immediately to me and all my (sometimes repetitive) questions. Very friendly. Very professional. He encouraged me when an offer we made fell through, and he makes you feel and treats you like family. We are taking a break from house hunting for the winter but come spring time we will be back at it and I couldnt imagine working with anyone else!! I do not have one negative thing to say about him!
