Being first time homebuyers in the middle of one of the toughest markets in a long time, Joe and Dave helped us through the process and answered all of our questions (we had a ton). From our first Zoom meeting, we knew Joe and Dave would be the team we wanted to work with! They understood our vision and helped us shape it along the way. We did all of our showings with Dave and he was wonderful about communicating and helping us notice things we wouldn't otherwise have spotted. When we were ready to put in an offer, all of the steps were taken quickly. The process was not easy, but Dave and Joe really did help us every step of the way. Our journey as first time homebuyers started a bit rocky when the first property that accepted our offer ended up having some fire damage. When we decided to rescind our offer, Dave was right there with us to continue the showings and to help us reflect. Then, when we got outbid on a different property (due to the current market), Dave assured us that we would continue to be patient and persistent. The next house we put in an offer on is the one we are currently sitting in now...all thanks to Dave, Joe, Kelsey, and the wonderful attorney and inspector they recommended to us. It was so reassuring to have such a great support team, especially considering our lack of knowledge on the process. ZillowVERIFIED Joe is literally the hardest worker we know. He got the ball rolling so quickly when we decided we wanted to sell our condo. His response time is phenomenal and makes you feel like you are his only client. No matter time of day, if we had a question whether through text or email, he would answer within minutes. He never held any information back from us and would let us know as soon as he heard something. When it came to buying, he was always super quick at booking showings. He was honest about the houses we were looking at without overstepping. We found ourselves asking for his opinion and advice because we trust him so much. Instead of an agent taking us to houses that didn't pique our interest (like my sister's agent did), we only saw what we wanted to see. He is really thorough when viewing a house, pointing out construction and maintenance issues and considerations. As we were awed by the superficial aspects, he was digging into the bones of the house. Watching him taught us a lot about how to really, truly shop for a house. He was also really fun during the showings - keeping it light and interacting as people instead of purely a transaction. Showing days can feel long, but Joe made it enjoyable. Once he helped us find our home, he was right on top of the process for us. Having never done this before, his guidance was invaluable. He also referred us to some great people/organizations for inspection and our mortgage. As a result of all the prep, our closing took an hour, which may have set a world record. Very pleasant guy to be around :) He helped us find a diamond in the rough. Fortunately he helped make sure our ducks were in a row and walked us through everything we needed to know. We were clear to close well before we needed to be.Unfortunately the seller's lawyer was less than truthful and said they were going to be ready to close on time. 5 days before we were scheduled to close they dropped the bomb that they were not ready we were set scrambling. We were also selling our place while pursuing this property so even though we were not going to close on the purchase we were still selling and moving out on the same day. My wife and young son were going to be homeless in 5 days and Joe worked non-stop weekend and after hours to make sure we could still move in and close. We ended up negotiating a pre-closing occupancy agreement so we could still move in and Joe made sure we closed soon after.So after a crazy couple of weeks we are in a house we love!! Thanks Joe! Anything he does not know, he finds out immediately for you and not just from Google, but with his team of professionals he belongs to. He has a few deals behind him and you can see how he has developed from them already. Pros:-I wanted to see a property that I found online just browsing. He picked me up in 10 minutes and we were there.-Knows NWside of Chicago very well. He could tell me stats on schools and what the area has gone through (property/crime/business).-Works for a group that supports each other. It's like you get access to more agents. So, if you're selling, he brings it to them and see if anyone is interested and if you're buying, he will work with his agents to see if anything is a standout.-Very easy-going, low pressure individual. He is not a "salesman" (when you are a buyer, but knows how to sell when you're selling), he is a hospitality professional. He told me about his past working in restaurants and service based environments and his level of care is clearly demonstrated.-Most importantly---he is a FULL time agent. Want to see a property on a Tuesday at 10am because you work nights, he's the man! Cons:-None---he's what you want from an agent. Do I dare say that you may actually enjoy the experience?!? What other reps/agents can you say that about.
