We have used Jerod's services twice. First, in 2014, to assist with selling my fathers home. It was easy to select Jerod over several other agents because I perceived i) his honesty and transparency, ii) the depth of knowledge he had of the market, and iii) his common-sense and straightforward way of communicating. Working with him on the sale, I became even more impressed by his thoroughness in every decision from initial listing price to managing the multiple offers we received. Ultimately I felt very comfortable that we received what I think was an optimal sale price. He had also helped organize the process of getting my father's house in move-in condition. If youve ever worked with people involved in construction trades, you would expect all that work to be difficult to handle and be frustrating. Instead, because Jerod had great relationships with multiple contractors and handymen, he knew the right people to hire. They got the job done right. this was an immense comfort to me, working full time at the time and dealing with my father's passing. In 2020, my wife and I were looking to relocate to Glendale from Santa Clarita. Jerod recommended a great agent who had knowledge of Glendale, being the honest person he was that he was not a specialist in Glendale. Jerod had obviously done his homework, as always, and was honest....and the agent he recommended was excellent. And Jerod did a great job selling our house in 2020, exhibiting all the characteristics and skills that I saw in 2014. We weren't even the highest bidders in the house, but he made it work for us. He paid utmost importance to the tiniest details we gave him. Decided to keep in touch and are we glad we did. Jerod made it feel like we had a true partner that was just as interested in our own well-being as he was in finding us the house of our dreams even if it meant we walked away if that was the right thing for us. Who does that! His advice was always on point, he's not one of those that will push you into the wrong decision just to sell a house. If you show him something and he knows better, he'll tell you and in the most sincerest nicest way... and boy did he deliver. Jerod found us a house shortly after that was literally not even "coming soon" on websites.He managed to get us a showing before anyone else and even found the floor plans and pictures a few years old from the original builder and does it all with a smile. Jerod knows Santa Clarita like that back of his hand. That alone is worth gold and add to it his incredible sense of responsibility. My wife and I have nothing but praise for him and so do the 2 other friends that we've recommended him to and also manged to get their dream house. They keep coming back to thank me on the wonderful referral.This review is by no means over exaggerated and in fact, it took me 5 months to write this. For one, I typically don't write reviews and we've been so busy it's been difficult to find the time to write Jerod Mayer the review he deserves. 5 months after we bought our house and our opinion of him is still as glowing as when we were dealing with him. If unicorns existed, Jerod is one of them and I cannot recommend him more. He even got us a discount on our carpet cleaning because he's got good connections.. How about that!!If you're looking to buy or sell in Santa Clarita or LA in general as he also helped us sell our Woodland Hills property for the all-time highest sale per sqft in our building, do yourself a favor and give him a call. Your first experience with him may be a little underwhelming at first but trust me, he's listening and taking notes and remembers everything you tell him on what you like or dislike and he will get it right. ZillowVERIFIED We can't speak highly enough of our experience with Jerod Mayer. We were new to California and the SCV. I worked with a couple of realtors before Jerod, and I have to say the experience was not pleasant. But Jerod completely changed our views. He is honest and hands-on and he really helped to take the pressure off of us. It took several houses to go around looking at the good and the bad and we didn't get the pressure with him to get a home which wasn't the right one for us. ZillowVERIFIED When deciding to sell my home I hired Jerod Mayer and his team to facilitate the sale as I had such a great experience with them in the past. Jerod analyzed the market, and explained the sale process/time line. We knew there was a home listed in my area for a higher price, and Jerod told me it was over priced and wouldn't sell at that number. He advised me of a list price that was more realistic, and competitive for the market place - especially being that my home is limited to cash buyers only. After reviewing Jerod's pricing recommendation I wanted to ask for a little more. We agreed that if we didn't get much response within 2 weeks that we would reduce to Jerod's advised number. Needless to say, Jerod sold my home and we closed escrow within 15 days to the 2nd buyer that came to see it! The home sold for right about where he said the value was. I am extremely happy with the process, and how smooth it was. I have to say I didn't think my home would sell that quick due to circumstances, but Jerod and his team came through! ...The higher priced home is still on the market weeks later.

Making matters worse, the particular area I wanted to buy had limited financing options which later disappeared-so the only way to purchase was to pay cash. Jerod explained why financing had vanished here, showed me what was going on, and helped me make sense of a very confusing market at that time. By the time I identified the home I wanted to purchase Jerod got all the information about the home, walked me through the process, and in the end negotiated a great deal for me that I was happy with!
