Our agent from the team, John Purvis met with us a year before we were ready to sell and carefully looked at our house and property and instructed us on the things that we could do to to make our house sellable for the highest price. He not only gave us ideas for improving the value, he also set us up with skilled craftsmen to do some of the work for a very reasonable price. They also have relationships with several movers to help us get the best price for our moving expenses after sale. John and in particular,Jessica Ruggiero, kept us informed throughout the process. The Jennifer Young "coming soon" process helped us get an idea about the price range that was reasonable before we actually formally put the house on the market. We chose a price point that John and the Jennifer Young team felt was reasonable. Within one week, the interest at that price point was significant so John suggested we go live one week later. We had 20 showings the first day due to marketing reach that Jennifer Young has and we actually had multiple offers the first day. We eventually accepted one of those first day offers which was a cash offer, over the asking price with no contingencies. John and the team facilitated a settlement date and also negotiated a rent back agreement since our new house is not quite finished. The team continues to be in contact with us after the sale to be sure everything is smooth with the transition. He pointed out details that we needed to take care of and even supplied us with the contacts to get them done very quickly at reasonable cost. During our realtor interviews, John was the only one to point out the true value of our home at a much higher sales price than other realtors with less vision on the full market. Starting with hosting the first open house on New Year's eve that was very successful, to following up closely with scheduled tours after that, John successfully had a solid offer under contract in only 14 days during what most news outlets were claiming to be the hardest time of the year to sell. Selling our home was going to be a challenge - just because is was one of the larger and more expensive homes in our area. Meeting with John the first time he took the time to sit with us and listen to our expectations, provided his thoughts and recommendations, and explained the path to our home sale. The home needed extensive renovations and John provided contractors he used in the past and allowed us to meet with them and make our decision of who we wanted to use and what we wanted to get done. He stayed with us throughout the process and served not only as our realtor but as the contactor making sure everything got done. He listed our home for a significant amount higher than we were thinking and he had an offer before the home made it onto the market. ZillowVERIFIED I hate to write a bad review for anyone, but I feel its important to share my experience with anyone wanting to list with Jennifer Young team. My house is sort of unique because it has Tesla solar roof (which is owned by me and not leased) and also a Tesla backup battery system for the whole house. This specific upgrade to the house cost 50K. Since this is a unique situation, before I listed with Jennifer I asked her if she had experience selling homes with solar because not everyone will understand what it entails in owning a Solar home and would like to pay extra for something that they dont understand. She assured me that she and her team know and have already done this. Well, 2 weeks into the home sale process I learned that the agent assigned to me had zero experience with solar. The reason I say this is because when I told him how much money I was saving each month on electric bill, he was a bit shocked. Why shocked when you claim to have experience in selling Solar homes?! Upon my further explanation of why we listed the house about 30K more than the comps the response to me was that aEURoepotential buyer may not understand thisaEUR?. Horrible! Obviously you dont understand what the heck you are selling so how can you sell it to someone else?! Every single broker out there is charging 4% to list homes that are listed at 800K and above. Only reason I was willing to pay more was because of the niche situation. My home showed really well. We had about 22 showings in 2 weeks but because it was not marketed properly (I myself made updates to the verbiage to emphasize on Solar home on listing, not them) I did not receive any contracts. The agent assigned to me was slow in following up with potential buyers as well. My advice to anyone that is sellingaEUR|If your house shows well, save your money and go with a different agent. All the hype that they will do good marketing for you is completely BS! They do the same as every other broker, i.e. list it on Zillow, MLS, and a few other sites which costs pennies on the dollar to do.

Lauren is incredible at the art of preparation & execution of a real estate transaction, from both sides; as a sellers agent OR a buyers agent! We had asked Lauren to represent us when we bought the same home, back in 2015, knowing that it would be a completive situation (multiple offers). She wrote an incredibly clean contract offer, and our contract was signed by the sellers! This time, Lauren really showed her skill in SELLING a house for her clients; 1st, she guides us through the finishing touches of what was needed to prepare our house to put it on the market, and make it as attractive as possible to potential buyers. 2nd, she talked us through the comparable sales in our Arlington zip code of 22207, and gave her rock-solid advice as to what price we should list our home at.
