Take your time and be prepared, buying a home is one of the biggest decisions you can make. Also, make sure you educate yourself and build trust over time with an agent to guide you through the process. Figure out what your buying needs are first and prioritize from there. Get pre-approved and familiarize yourself with the upfront and monthly financial commitments. Do this before finding your dream home and your decision will be clear and easy to make when the right home comes along.

Make your major moving decisions before you put your home on the market. Know your plan for choosing where you are going to live. Prepare your home for the market by decluttering, packing, and staging with the help of your agent. Consider making any needed repairs to avoid selling as-is, if possible, which could devalue your home. Make sure your agent shows you examples of their marketing, specifically the photos and video for your home. Making these preparations will help make your move so much easier.

The primary focus of my business has been helping families buy or sell residential homes. My greatest passion is helping people achieve their real estate goals. It has been amazing to meet so many different people with diverse backgrounds, desires, and sometimes challenges that I have been able to help navigate along the way. Buying or selling a home is one of the most exciting and stressful experience of someone’s life. However, there are many ways I help set my clients up for success. Recently, I helped one of my neighbors sell their home. During the marketing process, I reached out to a lifetime client who I have helped move multiple times over the last 25 years and introduced him to the house. His family fell in love with the house and our now my neighbors!

Real Estate started for me as a kid helping and learning from Dad. He invested in real estate and did real estate development projects. So, I was always a part of what he was working on. My mom was a teacher who has influenced my thirst for knowledge and how to help educate people. My best friend and business partner Jim, and I, both got our real estate licenses before we even finished college 25 years ago and the rest is history as they say!

Every year that I have been a realtor I have taken training and education courses related to real estate. Additionally, I have built up a vast network of agents throughout the country by attending conferences and training to help support my current clients who are moving to or from our area. I am always looking for new ways to improve my client’s real estate experience by supporting them with tools, resources, and knowledge I have gained along the way.
