She was extremely knowledgeable of the area and took the necessary time with us to find the perfect place to meet our needs. We were competing with other offers on the property and JD provided the necessary insight on how to make our offer stand out from the others so that we would ultimately be the successful buyers. JD made the buying process extremely easy for us. Her team, particularly Michele, made the processing part of the transaction a breeze as well. We were always informed in advance of any deadlines that had to be met and were regularly consulted on timing of appraisals, inspections, and other contingency items from the contract. The closing had one little hiccup and had to be delayed by a week due to an issue on the seller's side, but JD kept us informed of the issue and the closing went off without a hitch. If you are looking to buy or sell, I would highly recommend her. She is an outstanding individual and one heck of a realtor!

ZillowVERIFIED DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT USE JD! Represents the worst moral and ethical standards of the real-estate industry. I'm a military member moving my family and all of our belongings across the country. We SIGNED a contract that included preoccupancy, which was critical for my family as we considered homes to buy. JD developed new and impossible holes for us to jump through at the last minute, AFTER ALL CONTINGENCIES WERE REMOVED AND UNDERWRITING WAS COMPLETE. This left my working wife and 2.5 year old son scrambling to find a place to stay, and us trying to figure out where to store our belongings for roughly 5 days before the house closed. There are other plain unethical and dishonest practices that she demonstrated throughout the process that were disappointing and plain disgusting to see, which left me confused that someone could do that to another person, and military family, and be able to sleep at night. In my mind, she represents the worst character and morality of anyone I have worked with before. IF YOU SUPPORT THAT KIND OF BEHAVIOR THAN USE HER, BUT IF NOT YOU SHOULD FIND ANOTHER REALTOR IMMEDIATELY!

I can truly attest to JD's interest in helping to make her client's lives better, not just selling their homes. A number of years ago I bought a "fixer upper" in a quaint little neighborhood in FFx County/Falls Church and had been working on it over the years to upgrade it and make it my own. A couple of years ago I'd asked whether JD would consider viewing my home and sharing what I would need to do to optimize the sale price with the understanding that I was not ready to move at that time. She accepted graciously and was very helpful, sharing what I might consider doing to leverage the work I'd done when ready to sell. That day came this past November. Before we discussed the house, JD wanted to understand my plans for the future and how the sale of my home fit with in them. Her insightful questions helped me to bolster my confidence that my approach to buying my new home was solid. She was genuinely excited for me and asked to see pictures. The ensuing discussion about the Falls Church home sale was relatively easy. If your house sells in a week, I'm sure she seems fine, but if you actually need her to give you good advice, accurately assess your house and market you correctly...well, good luck. Her team, while pleasant and good natured, had to be prompted to address issues and did not manage showings well. We had to call her to re-assess our listing, it was NEVER the other way around. She's late to every appointment and botches important paperwork. Advised us to agree to every demand the buyers made and got us into a terrible offer with endless contingencies. She just wanted a sale- could not have cared less if we walked with the best price.

JD and her team immediately jumped in and made everything easy, from "self-staging" to educating us on all aspects, from the local market to strategy to prepping for open houses to analyzing bids to the details of closing. JD develops a seller-specific plan for every house she sells, based on her deep substantive knowledge of the northern VA market, how the house will be received when staged as recommended and how to analyze the bids received. She managed the total process, working her many contacts in the industry, and taking full advantage of technology to reach the public. After 6 days on the market, we had 7 bids to evaluate, all over the asking price and with escalation clauses. JD told us up front that ethics are a touchstone of her work, and that proved true as we came to a decision. Throughout the process, nothing fell through the cracks; each team member has a subject area, and as the process continued, each was in touch with us.
