I've assisted clients with every type of personalities, houses from foreclosures to regular sale, manufactured home to new construction, even just a land purchase.

Q: 4. Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?

Buying or Selling a home is a very personal, involved, process. My goal is to understand your goals, wants, and desires. As a result, we form a connection. I don't want to sound cheesy, but I'm fond of most of my previous transactions as most clients become friends after closing on their home.

Q: 5. How did you get started in Real Estate?

I've been a real estate investor since 2002. After many years of dealing with so many bad, lazy, and incompetent agents, I went and got my real estate license. This was initially for my own personal use, but really liked being an agent that helped other people with a strategy to buy or sell their first or last home.

A few years ago, we were looking to buy our first house. We wanted to work with a realtor, but didn't know any or know where to start. Mostly we needed a realtor who would listen to our needs and help us find a realistic home for us. We had a tight budget, were looking in a specific area, and hoping to find a home under value to resale at market value later on. My wife found Jason through reading raving Facebook reviews. I called him and after he took an hour thoroughly answering my many questions, I knew he was the right realtor for us. In fact, I remember many extensive phone conversations where he took the time to explain every scenario and educate us on every step of the buying process. Jason helped us close on our first home in winter 2015. It was a short sale and he was realistic and up front with us with the risks and time table of closing on such a house. Jason was supportive of our decision and stuck buy us through the buying process. In late 2017 we decided for several reasons to find a new home. Looking for better schools and an opportunity to pay off some old student debt we didn't think twice about approaching Jason again, this time to help us sell our home. He was very happy to come out and see the improvements we'd made on our home over the 2 years we lived there and give us advice on how to prepare our home to sell. One thing I love about Jason is that he's accessible, realistic, has good judgement, and very experienced in real estate, property management, and investing. So we prepared our home to sell in the spring of 2018. We listed our home earlier than we originally were planning to, based on Jason's advice. We listed in February because he said there would be lots of military families moving to our area in March who would be looking for a home. He was right. We had 6 showings in the first 2 days and an offer which was ratified within one week. We were ecstatic! And whats better was the offer was for our asking price! Jason had helped us price our home just right. Then reality hit us that we were going to be homeless in a little over a month and we needed to find a new home. We considered renting, but after looking at some bleak options, we called up Jason and said, "Guess who's looking to buy another house?!" Jason quickly got us on track to get prequalified and start looking for homes to buy. Within 2 weeks we found our next home. Again, we had some very specific requirements for this home. Location, schools, a home under market value with potential to improve, and neighborhood were all really important to us. We looked at 2 homes with Jason that were not quite right for us, but one of which led us to the right house. It was in the right location and once we had that piece of the puzzle we were able to find our new home. Jason's expertise helped us close on our first home flawlessly. Closing on our new second home, we hit some bumps in the road from the sellers side. In the end our closing was pushed back 4 days, but I know that Jason was pushing the right buttons behind the scenes to make sure our closing wasn't pushed back any more. We've been through a few ups and downs with Jason and he's always steady, professional, and will go the extra mile for you. In fact, in our new place, there was a bunch of old cabinets and trash left by the seller in the garage. The seller was supposed to remove it, but it never happened. Jason helped me take it all to the curb and set up a bulk trash pickup that came the very next day! That's what I call above and beyond. You better believe that I wouldn't call anyone else but Jason when we think of selling our home years down the road. And in the time between, I recommend him to anyone looking for a solid realtor and a stand-up guy.

Jason has been extremely helpful to us through the entire process of dealing with our home. I advise you to not rent from Jason Sampson as he is unfair with your security deposit upon move out. He does not practice "good faith". He failed to provide us with a move in check list copy as well as a move out copy and then charged us for new carpets, deep interior and exterior cleaning, and a smoke detector we did in fact replace. For these he charged and helped himself to a hefty rate of pay. One time he replace the fridge in the place and left the old one sitting in our kitchen for about a year always promising to remove it so we had our bar counter space. I mentioned mold in the windows and never was the issue addressed. He did not itemize our costs until I keep on him to please do so and then he increased the costs of repairs. He will not be fair.

***THE SEARCH IS OVER! This is your real estate agent!!!!***I am in the military and move very often. So far, my family has moved seven times, rented four times and bought and sold three. We have dealt with 10 real estate agents and our experience has been AWFUL! That was until we were introduced to Jason.I had a horrible experience with a real estate agent who was trying to sell our house in Chesapeake, and I use the term aEURoetryingaEUR? very loosely. The house sat empty for 6 months in the height of the PCS season and the moving season. I was deployed, my wife was stressed, and we were losing money hand over fist.I was deployed with a guy who dabbled in real estate and said he new someone in Norfolk that was starting out in real estate, so I gave him a call. This gentlemen said that he didnt deal in that market, but said, aEURoeI heard of a guy named Jason, Ill give you his number, he supposedly is greataEUR?. The funny thing was Jason did not even know the guy. I called Jason from overseas, no answer because of the time difference but I received an email hours later with numbers and times to contact him. After talking to him for 5 minutes, I felt like he had a plan and took control of the situation. It was the first time in 6 months I was able to exhale about that house! We opted to rent the house out and wait to sell to stop the financial bleeding. He was an absolutely amazing landlords agent. There were things he took care of and didnt even tell us, and the big price things that went wrong, he had researched extensively, got the best prices, and always gave us a few options and his experienced recommendation. I can say without a doubt, we did not make a bad decision the entire rental period because of his expertise in the area, his connections to contractors, and his calm demeanor and experience. So when it came time to sell, we were hoping for better luck. He knew exactly when to put it on the market and the correct price. We received a full price offer the first weekend. Through the sales process, we had major issues. Rot in the joists, water damage, too much to name and it also gives me bad memories. Jason and I were on the phone every other day with an issue from the inspection, appraisal etc. My wife and I actually thought that he did not have any other business because he returned calls within minutes and was so on top of everything. Turns out that was not true, he did have other clients (lol), but the feeling was that he spent every hour of his day fixing our problems. We did eventually close, and I will say that the house WOULD NOT have sold with any other real estate agent. Originally, it was going to cost over $20K in repairs, which would put us bringing a check to closing. After Jason called several contractors and used his aEURoevoodoo magicaEUR? as I starting calling is, WE ACTUALLY WALKED AWAY WITH A CHECK! I has my strongest possible recommendation. I felt like I was doing business with a family member. I can promise you if you hire Jason, he will far exceed your expectations!Mike

Jason was a great Realtor and a really good fit for us.He was patient with our needs and was very realistic about each prospect that we were interested in. We appreciate that he was professional and courteous at all times yet managed to be genuinely friendly. We were updated every time there was new information in the home-buying process and that helped with our peace of mind. We would shoot him emails about homes that interested us and we would hear back either that same day or within 48 hours with honest evaluations on those homes. I am not sure if there are the proper words to describe my experience with Jason, so I will just say that he is incredible (although that seems to be a downplay).
