Buying a home is the one of the most important decisions in your life, I highly recommend partnering with an agent who loves and is passionate about real estate. The first step is to get preapproved by a QUALITY lender, who I would love to suggest to you, since not all lenders are alike. Then once you start the process, definitely do NOT open a new credit card nor buy any huge purchases. (i.e. a car or furniture, etc.)
Definitely partner with a realtor who shows you proof of their success in getting other properties sold. Partner with the agent who knows staging and is proficient at marketing their listings with excellence and who has the largest close rate.
I love real estate sooo much! I have thoroughly enjoyed working with many groups of clients, all of whom I love working with including first time homebuyers, move up and downsize buyers, as well as buyers who are relocating to the area, and over 55 buyers who need to find their last home.
I recently had homeowners call me b/c their home had been listed with another agent for many months and they were getting zero showings and hadn't heard from their agent in weeks and decided to withdraw their listing. I met with them, came up with a game plan as to what they could do to present their home the way buyers in their price range would want to see it & I got my go-to contractors there to give them discounted pricing as my clients. We got it listed and within 5 days, my clients had received multiple offers and ended up with a ratified contract at almost full price! Needless to say they were amazed and so thankful to have me as their realtor!
Having had a successful corporate career prior to staying home with babies, I decided to get back into sales when my baby was in kindergarten and real estate seemed perfect for me and ya know what? It was one of the best decisions I ever made! :)
