ZillowVERIFIEDJamie was assigned to me for a corporate relocation and I couldn't be more grateful despite my initial hesitance. I was incredibly nervous and out of my comfort zone, moving to a new state with no local support to guide my home buying search. I had a realtor back home I was familiar with, but Jamie stepped in flawlessly.I was relocating across state lines and completely unfamiliar with the city I wanted to live in. Jamie allowed me to bombard him with a million suggestions of houses I would be interested in seeing (all of which were not on his MLS list, and most of which already had offers on them!) and happily scheduled showings all over the map to appease me. I even tried to make an offer on a house, sight-unseen, but he wisely guided me away from that crazy idea, based on my personality and level of risk aversion. The more houses he saw with me, the more he learned my preferences and dislikes and he began to respond more pointedly about each house I set him--next to the airport, in a flood zone, next to a garbage facility, over-priced, clear water damage, etc. I avoided a lot of wasted hours with him making sure that we didn't see houses he knew I would immediately rule out. Jamie helped me draft a phenomenally strong offer once I was ready. I was beat out by a cash offer but he reached out to the owners to let them know that despite me continuing my search, if their offer fell through I was still incredibly interested. We continued to see more houses, but I was dejected and he could sense it. Fortunately, his quick thinking paid off and the offer fell through, which put me back in the running to make my best-and-final offer. I was at a work dinner when he got the news but he made himself available at nearly 11 pm to have me sign papers and work with the seller's realtor to finalize all the paperwork ASAP. He talked to my broker to try to help me garner a contingent approval, which would allow me to remove the appraisal aspect, and make my offer even stronger. His expertise was demonstrated time-and-time again. I appreciate Jamie because he is also self aware and humble. During my home inspection he offered me his opinions based on his expertise but was very clear when he did not feel comfortable speaking to topics outside of his scope of knowledge or comfort. He offered his recommendations for contractors he had a proven track record with, but respectfully refused to offer further recommendations for services he didn't have a trusted name for. His integrity and trustworthiness were very important to me, as the house did have some things that made me nervous. I didn't feel like he was merely attempting to "get the sale" by telling me what I wanted or needed to hear. I genuinely believe that if the house had overwhelming issues he would have deterred me from putting myself in a financial detriment.Overall, I could not be more impressed with his professionalism, responsiveness, and expertise. I purchased the only house I put in an offer for, only 2 weeks after beginning my search when many people take months to find a house. Also, kind when it matters, ruthless when you need him to be :)
