1. What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?
Have your pre-approval in place, know your budget, and lean on me to help identify homes that align with both your lifestyle and long-term goals. Ask as many questions as you can so you understand what is happening when purchasing a home. I’ll guide you through the process, from evaluating neighborhoods and schools to negotiating strong offers, so you can feel confident every step of the way.
2. What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?
For sellers, presentation and pricing are key. I always recommend tackling small repairs, decluttering, and staging to make your home shine - buyers connect emotionally to homes that feel move-in ready. Pricing strategically from the start ensures you capture strong interest and don’t sit on the market longer than necessary. As your Realtor, I bring deep local market knowledge, professional marketing tools, and proven negotiation strategies to help you achieve top dollar while making the process as smooth as possible.
3. What types of clients have you worked with?
Over nearly three decades in real estate, I’ve worked with a wide range of client: from first-time buyers and growing families, to investors and luxury home sellers. I also regularly work with relocation clients moving into Clark County and the Portland metro area, helping them not only find a home but also feel connected to their new community. Whether it’s guiding seniors through downsizing or helping military families with transitions, I tailor my approach to each client’s unique needs.
4. Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?
I recently had the opportunity to assist a client who had been working with another agent for nearly a year without success. Frustrated with the process, they reached out to me for a fresh perspective. Within just a couple of weeks, we found a home that checked all their boxes. Although our initial offer wasn’t accepted, I recommended we submit a strong backup offer in second position—just in case.
Sure enough, a few weeks later, the original buyer backed out, and my clients were able to move forward. Not only did they secure the home, but we also negotiated $100,000 off the original price.
Since the home needed extensive updates, I helped them connect with a trusted local contractor for a high-end remodel. That renovation is now well underway, and my clients are transforming the property into their dream forever home right here in Camas.
5. How did you get started in Real Estate?
Knowing I did not want to go to college and enter the work force immediately but wanting to be my own boss - I knew Real Estate was the way to go even though I knew nothing about it. I started my career in real estate almost 30 years ago when I was 19, driven by a passion for helping people with one of life’s biggest decisions. Over the years, I’ve continued to grow my skills through specialized training and professional recognition. I’ve been honored as a Top 200 agent with eXp Realty, received the ICON Award four times, and was recognized Top 30 under 30 nationwide by the National Association of Realtors early in my career. Locally, I also earned the Leader in Professionalism Award for how I conduct business with both clients and colleagues. This blend of experience, ongoing education, and dedication allows me to deliver the highest level of service and results to every client I work with.
6. Do you have any special education or training that will benefit your clients?
With over 27 years of real estate experience and licensing in both Washington and Oregon, I’ve gained extensive knowledge of negotiation strategies, cross-state transactions, and local market trends across the Camas, Vancouver, Portland, Beaverton, and Battle Ground areas. Jamie was a huge help in our home buying experience!!! 5 stars isn't enough. With the market the way it is and the unique criteria we had for our new home, Jamie was so on top of finding new homes in our area for us to look at.
