Jami's focus is on providing quality service, not just making a sale. He is very knowledgeable about the local market and is completely candid. In both transactions, we truly always felt like he was only concerned with looking out for our best interests. For our home purchase, Jami offered invaluable insights that allowed us to strategize the best offer. The sellers received multiple offers and ours was chosen. Unfortunately, the home inspection turned up a major plumbing issue. Our inspection contingency was for informational purposes only, but Jami found and documented evidence that the sellers were aware of the issue and failed to disclose it. Given this failure to disclose, he helped us negotiate a lower sales price so we could preserve the deal and move forward with the purchase. From that point forward, the whole process went smoothly. Jami was even more of an asset when it came time to sell our old home. He evaluated the house and gave us suggestions for improvements to make that would help us get the best price possible. After making the suggested improvements, the house looked so good that we joked we should have gotten his opinion on home improvements years ago! Our timeline for listing changed several times due to delays with some permitted work we needed done, but Jami was so accommodating every time we needed to push out the listing date. He recommended an absolutely amazing stager and the photographer he chose made our home look so good I started to question why we had decided to move in the first place! By the time we were ready to list, the market had slowed and we were seeing other homes in our neighborhood sitting for weeks with multiple price drops. Luckily, we received multiple offers within the first week of listing. This was in no small part due to the excellent advice Jami gave us in terms of pricing our home appropriately for the current market. Unfortunately, we ran into many issues with the buyer we chose (attempts to go outside the terms of our contract, delays, etc.) but Jami handled absolutely everything with unmatched professionalism. He prepared us for worst case scenarios but did everything in his power to keep the deal intact. Fortunately, we made it to closing and our home sold for well above asking! Jami is an absolute gem and my only regret is that I do not know more people who are buying or selling a home that I can send his way!!

You might think you do, but the same way changing a light bulb doesn't make you an electrician, buying or selling a house once or twice (or never) in your life is not the same as doing it hundreds of times over 15+ years. If you're reading this review, you probably haven't done a CMA (comparative market analysis) on your house or the houses you're interested in buying. You probably can't walk into a house and immediately know if it's going to sit on the market, go under contract in days, or fail a home inspection. You need a realtor who won't push you into a house just to make a sale. Someone who understands you're making the biggest purchase of your life, during the most stressful process of your life, and who acknowledges and respects their role in holding your hand throughout. You need someone who makes you feel like you're their only client. Someone who bends over backwards to accommodate your schedule and acts like its no big deal. You need Jami Dennis. This guy is fantastic. Full stop. He subverts every expectation youve ever had about realtors. I went into the homebuying process expecting to feel ripped off by the transactional nature of it all. I came out of it feeling like I didnt pay him enough. Jami never rushed us. Never made us feel like we werent important. He did his homework on every property we visited. He helped us craft competitive offers. And he never "sold" us on houses just to close a deal. Instead, he let the houses sell themselves while doing his best to make sure we knew exactly why we shouldn't buy any particular one. When speaking to an associate of his, I heard the quote: aEURoeJami has talked more people out of homes than anyone else I've met.aEUR? Thats the kind of realtor you need. The kind who treats you the way he would want to be treated. The kind who points out the dry rot on the windowsill the moment you walk inside. Or the incorrect framing. Or the poor flip job. Or... you get the idea. He didnt just help us find a house, he helped us avoid the wrong ones. He really knows his stuff and is super honest, which is hard to find these days. Hell tell you right away whats good or not about a property, including the price, condition, and overall value. Since he used to work in construction, he understands what goes into a house and can point out things most people would miss. He gave me so many helpful tips and advice along the way. He was always available, always looking out for my best interest, and really went the extra mile to get me the best deal. As a first-time buyer, I felt so lucky to have him on my side. We bought our first home in the middle of a crazy seller's market where housing prices were going well over (in some cases 60k-100k) list price. He is the real deal. We bought our dream home and sold our previous home during CoVID-19 and Jami made the process as painless and smooth as it could get. When it comes to selling your house, LISTEN to everything he tells you to do. Not only did he educate us throughout the process, he told us basic things we needed to do to get our house ready for selling. They did not take us long to do but they made a huge difference when we listed our home. Despite CoVID, we received so many interests and multiple offers even though there were similar homes in our community that were on the market before ours. We sold our home and even received a back-up offer while an offer was pending! Jami came as a referral from the president of my company who said her home sold before other homes listed on her block and that was our exact experience with Jami. Now, for buying...Jami is very passionate about his work and expects and demands the best for his clients. Not only does he smell a bad situation/deal from a mile away,he also sniffs past the facade and staging of houses and uncovers any hidden issues houses may have (his construction background is excellent for his line of work). We initially were looking to buy our dream home close to his office but ended up looking at houses at a location almost 1.5 hours away from Jami. That did not stop him from showing up on time to appointments, meetings with us, closings etc. Most times, he even showed up before we did, always armed with a wealth of information. ZillowVERIFIED I have worked with Jami. My wife has worked with Jami. Three of my friends have worked with Jami. We will continue to work with Jami. I used to be a loan officer. I worked with numerous realtors. Some were near retirement and focused on putting clients in ANY home, so long as it earned their commissions. Some would advise selling clients to sell to the first potential buyer despite potential financial risks embedded in those buyers' financial profiles. Jami is not one of those realtors. Jami is in the upper echelon of realtors that I worked with. Hes the best in that elite group. When we first moved to Ohio, Jami helped my wife sell her condo in Ashburn, VA. He connected her to a contractor who performed several small improvements that brought out the life in her property. She had a ratified contract after the first weekend of showings. The process was painless, and Jami kept her on track with all of the documents she needed to sign or provide all the way through closing. He was the consummate professional. Jami helped three of my friends purchase their first homes. He took his time to take them out to open houses or perform private showings. He was available any time of day to meet them for home/pest inspections or answer questions. For each of those purchase transactions, Jami went above and beyond. He even spent a few weeks after helping my friend construct a wheel chair ramp for his mom, after he helped his mom purchase a home. These arent things that other realtors do. Most recently, Jami helped me sell my first home, which was located in Maryland as I now live in Ohio. I obviously wasnt available to meet contractors, appraisers, inspectors, or to perform any type of last-minute maintenance. Jami did all of these things as if he was selling his own home. I felt good that I was able to sell my home to a first-time home buyer. The buyers lender had several delays along the way (which Jami warned me could happen because of the reputation of that lender), but he did his research and assured me that this lender still makes it to the finish line. I felt comfortable that one way or another, he was going to make this deal happen. The lender was 17 days late to provide the aEURoeclear to closeaEUR? on the loan, but Jami negotiated penalties into the extensions that made me whole for buyer-initiated delays. I didnt lose a penny because of the buyer delays. On the day of closing, Jami drove to the settlement even though I had signed my disclosures in advance. He wanted to make sure the buyers made it to the finish line and that I received my funds from settlement. Its difficult to describe all of the stresses that come with buying or selling a home. Lender requests are mounting as regulatory burden increases. HOAs can be slow to provide documentation. The other party to the transaction could delay closing. Whichever side of the transaction you are on, Jami goes to bat for you. I dont recommend multiple realtors to my friends and family. I recommend one person. Its not because I dont know other agents that could get the job done. Other agents dont do all of the work that Jami does.

Jami was honest, responsive and very knowledgeable in guiding me through selling my current townhouse and buying another home. He gave me several options in getting my current townhouse ready to sell and I'm glad I followed his advice as I was able to list the home and receive 2 offers within a day and get under contract above asking price. ZillowVERIFIED If you are looking for an extremely knowledgeable, patient, accommodating, no-pressure realtor, then Jami is your man. I am sure there are other great realtors out there, but Jami has to be one of the best. Ill start by saying that Jami saved me from a potentially devastating condo assessment situation on the first condo I wanted. I was under contract and shortly before closing, a report was disclosed outlining many issues with the new condo building that had to be taken care of and could have resulted in a big condo assessment fee. This report was buried in a stack of paperwork and had Jami not been so detail oriented, it may have been overlooked. Other less-honest realtors who saw the same information may have told their clients that its not a big problem and to move forward just so they could make their commission, but Jami is always looking out for his clients best interests and told me immediately that I should highly consider backing out of the contract (which I did). He is truly on your team, almost as if hes buying the place himself. As a first time buyer, I had no idea what I was doing, but Jami walked me through the entire process from start to finish, answering every question I had at all hours of the night. It is difficult to come up with a question that Jami cannot answer on the spot aEUR" and if you can, he will research it and send you the answer within the next 24 hours, often in the next few hours. I always felt confident that Jami was giving me the correct answers, whether it was about the value of a condo, the type of flooring, or the condo finances. I realized at a few open houses that not all realtors are as knowledgeable as Jami, and in some cases gave incorrect information to their clients (because I already knew Jami gave me the correct answer). I often thought that I must be driving Jami crazy, frequently asking him to drive to VA from MD to show me condos during rush hour. I cant even count how many places I saw it was so many (I once saw 12 on one Saturday, just to give you an idea). Jami was always patient and never seemed frustrated with me, even though I know that commute is a bad one. He is almost always available when you need him, and worked around my crazy schedule. I could give many more examples of why you should hire Jami, but hopefully youre already bored of reading this and are convinced. He was recommended to me by a friend who used him and now Ive recommended him to a couple of my friends because I truly think hes one of the best!

ZillowVERIFIED We moved to the area from out of state and found Jami Dennis through an internet search and excellent reviews we came across. We first met Jami on my interview trip. We leveled with him pointing out that I did not even have a job offer yet, but living 3000 miles away we wanted to take the opportunity of being in the area to see what might be available. He understood our need as well as the lack of certainty on our side but dedicated himself to the search, nonetheless. Jami promptly responded to proposed properties and gave us potentials as well. He was unbiased, not trying to push us into any of the early, nice but not perfect options. In fact, he would often point out drawbacks of one property or another. A longer search does not give Jami a bigger pay-out. Realty is not billed on an hourly basis. But here he was revealing reasons why we might want to keep looking or what may give us leverage to lower the offering price -- a move that, in fact, could lower his financial reward (realtors are paid as a percentage of the final sale price: lower price = less money for Jami). We felt that Jami was ALWAYS in our corner. Jami is clearly experienced both in the field of realty and in working with people. His knowledge, wisdom and sense of humor were always welcome. But Jami does not take the "I know everything about real estate" guise. If he does not know the answer off the top of his head, he lets you know, looks it up and gets back to you. Jami was a partner and a friend through this process. In the end we found a dream property - one that was more perfect for our family than we could have imagined. Part of this is luck and part of it was timing, but I (for one) would have settled for something "good enough" if Jami did not help focus us on our original search parameters. The lengthy and tiring process of finding the right home can wear down your resolve. Jami's energy and assurances that he would be with us as long as it took helped us soldier on. Jami is a trustworthy, friendly, funny and overall fantastic realtor. He served the role for us as the Buyer's Agent but actually does more work as a Seller's Agent. Knowing Jami's integrity and sense of fair play, I have no doubt he would serve just as admirably on the other side of the transaction. When we have our housewarming party, Jami and his wife will be near the very top of our invite list.

ZillowVERIFIED Jami helped my wife and I buy our first house. It was a fantastic experience, for three main reasons: 1.) Jami is honest and a true buyers agent. He never pushed a house on us or got impatient with our waffling. Check his stats -- he represents buyers 80% of the time, which is really rare. 2.) Jami knows construction. He was able to identify problems with houses and give us a clear idea of how much work might need to be done even before we paid for an inspection. This was a huge benefit. 3.) He was incredibly professional and available. He always responded to us promptly and in great detail, and took the time to look in every nook and cranny of houses. He seemed to go the extra mile to give us all the information we'd need to make a decision.
