ZillowVERIFIED We are from Massachusetts and we were looking for a hunting camp or 40 or so acres we could build on near state land. We traveled to NY three different times and Jack took us to all the locations we wanted to see every time no matter how far apart they were. Jack was up front about all the properties and told us if they were worth the price or not. We even placed an offer on one and he told us to walk away that if wasn't worth the asking price when the seller wouldn't come down.We finally bought a place and were unable to get out there for the final walk through before closing so Jack did it for us. It wasn't as agreed upon and Jack said he wasn't satisfied and that the closing should be pushed back till the seller corrected the conditions. He went back again that weekend to make sure the problem had been corrected. Great guy, would recommend him to anyone.

When the original bank my fianceA(C) and I were going through kept changing what we "needed" for our closing and things started to sounds fishy he called local banks to find us the best loan officer for us. We went from being pushed back for 4 months to being moved in to our lovely home in 2.5 months with Community Bank. It was a long journey and he was there every step of the way. And 2 weeks after moving in he even sent us a card in the mail. We are highly appreciative of everything he has done for us!

ZillowVERIFIED Let me start by saying that our primary home is in Philadelphia PA and we have made many LONG day trips to upstate NY looking for our forever home to retire to and use as our escape and vacation home until then.We ventured to Mcdonough In Chenango County to meet with Jack and look at a property there. Jack was more than willing to work with us on a meeting time even though he had another appointment that same morning. He was more than just professional he was welcoming as well and we felt like we've known him for years. There was no hard sell but instead he let us explore the house inside and out and was there to answer any questions we had. He was very knowledgeable about the property and the neighborhood. We requested a second showing and once again he worked with our schedule. We really liked the place and put in an offer that we felt we could handle and although we don't know this for sure we believe he worked with the seller to help us achieve our dream home. We have been looking for a very long time (years) and have met many realtors in that time but we never felt the connection or had the trust in them like we did with Jack. Once our offer was accepted we had many questions for the current owner pertaining to the property and who they used for different services and Jack happily played the liason for us and had all of our questions answered within hours of my emailing him. Again, that just goes to show that he is more than willing to go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. When it came time for settlement he met us at the house for our final walk through and we felt like we were meeting up with an old friend when we arrived. I would absolutely recommend Jack and would without a doubt use him again if ever needed. To recap our experience with Jack, he is informative, professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and will absolutely do whatever it takes to make your buying / selling experience as seamless as possible and we could never thank him enough for helping us start a new chapter in our lives.

He assisted us with our home search and was patient with us, as it took a while for us to find and decide on the right home for our purchase. When we found a home that we wanted he helped us negotiate with the owner to secure the purchase and later when there were issues that needed to be addressed by the owner he went above and beyond to make sure that we were taken care of. The purchase of our home was a very long closing, but he made sure we were informed of any changes as soon as they happened and was always timely with any request we had. ZillowVERIFIED Jack was great throughout the whole process of purchasing our home. He is the complete package you want in a realtor. When showing homes he knew exactly what houses would be of interest to us and which ones would not be based on our criteria. We would find homes online to look at and Jack would inform us if a specific home was not what we were desiring and would still show it if we wanted. He would also take our criteria and find us home to look at even if we didn't think we would be interested and it turns out a lot of those homes were pretty close to what we desired. All of which was always done in a timely fashion and with our schedule. He was always available via text, phone or email. We did plenty of weekend showings which a lot of realtors will not do.Jack was also very knowledgeable when looking at homes. He would check on heating and plumbing and look for water damages and advise you on things he found just so that you would be aware. When it came to negotiations he was great at coming up with a bid. Being novice home buyers it wa great to just ask his opinion on where to start and get an idea of where to settle. We had a lot of issues during our sale and Jack was extremely helpful with talking to the seller's realtor to get things straightened out. He even contacted their lawyer to help move things alone to hasten up the process. He was even present at closing of the house. If you want a very knowledgeable and committed realtor then Jack would be my choice hands down. I'd recommend him to everyone. There isn't enough that I could say about Jack, he stands out as a great and trusted realtor and my family and I could not be happier to have used him to buy our home.

He was willing to work with my not so easy tenant, and when the tenant left he was prompt in getting the house sold. Jack was helpful and walked me through the process, we learned which law practice never to use for real estate (I went with them as they were cheap but he was not familiar with them). Jack did many things I probably needed to do but since I live out of state, he cheerfully did anything and everything that was needed. Jack Thyfault treated the sale of my old home as if it were a high end home sale in my mind. I would highly recommend Jack Thyfault to be the agent on any home sale.
