About Brian Hunt

Brian Hunt is a Real Estate Licensee and South Carolina Real Estate Broker with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Blythewood. He has been licensed since 1998 and in 2004 achieved Broker status with the SC LLR Real Estate Commission. In January of 2009 he was the Broker-In-Charge of Hunt and Associates Real Estate Sales and Development and oversaw all business and real estate transactions, marketing and a lot of online development of the company. In 2013 he joined with a small boutique brokerage downtown Columbia SC to focus on specifically real estate sales and marketing. In 2015, his wife Melinda Hunt joined him as a full time real estate team. In 2017 they both were recruited by Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage national real estate company. In Brian's 1st year at CBRB Blythewood he was elected President of the Agent Advisory Board to represent the 50 agents within the office. He and Melinda were awareded the, "2017 Best of Blue - International Sterling Society Team" for the entire region of the Coldwell Banker - Carolinas. This area includes all brokerages in Columbia, Charlotte and Charleston, to name a few. Brian graduated from Francis Marion University with a Bachelor of Arts with a Minor in Mass Communications with a strong balance in the field Public Relations, Journalism, and Marketing. He went on to continue his education immediately upon graduation into the Real Estate field. He initially focused on lots, land, and acreage sales throughout the extended Midlands of Columbia and his business continues to grow. He has been involved in almost every aspect of real estate including; Lot and Acreage Sales, Land Development, Home Renovation, Waterfront and Recreational Properties, Relocation including Military Relocation, Managing Owner Financing Packages, Brokering REO and Tax Sale properties, and of course his primary home brokerage representing both buyers and sellers. He is a life-long resident of the state of South Carolina. His experience as a veteran real estate professional has involved dealings of brokering hundreds of acres and luxury homes, to small parcels and manufactured home plots. Brian's view of real estate is that "I'm here to assist anyone that needs my help and to treat everyone equally. It doesn't matter if it is a million dollar home or a ten thousand-dollar lot. The importance of that purchase to the buyer usually remains constant...no matter how much money is involved."

If you are looking for a reliable, honest, knowledgeable, caring, responsive, proactive and professional realtor, look no further. I had found Melinda online to help me sell my 20 years old rental property in Columbia, SC. During the preparation process before the sale, Brian, Melinda's husband who is also real estate broker had offered me a lot of help and great advice as well. They really lived up to their stellar reviews. I am so grateful from the bottom of my heart for all their efficient, kind and caring assistance. My situation was not easy because I am located out of state. By the time I decided to fire my irresponsible, unreliable property manager and to put my property on the market after it was vacant for over 5 months; I had already spent at least $20K to repair and install new floorings on it and had had many sleepless night over this property.A I was not sure what condition my property was still in and extremely worried that there would be more expensive repairs needed.A From the moment I received all the pictures Melinda had taken and her recommendations on what needed to be done on it, I was completely put at ease and knew I could totally trust her. MelindaA helped me get a locksmith to rekey the door locks, find contractors to do needed repairs and minor upgrades to it, recommended which light fixtures to purchase to brighten up the property, efficiently and seamlessly overseeing the entire process. Melinda and Brian had also gone above and beyond, tiredlessly worked on several projects themselves to save me money. Therefore I did not need to spend more money to replace the 2.5 yrs old dish washer, several doors and many other items.A The first buyer made an offer at full asking price and there was no additional repairs needed by the inspection report, so the property was sold very quickly. I don't have enough accolades or words on how great Melinda and Brian were, whatever the house needed they knew exactly what to do as well as giving helpful advice. They were Godsend during a difficult and stressful time, I urge anyone who is in the market for a real estate agent to employ their services.
