ZillowVERIFIEDIrvin is fantastic! One of the best agents I have ever worked with, and I have worked with quite a few. I highly recommend him to anyone needing an agent in Virginia!! He was there during the searching process, wonderful during negotiations and closing and he is still helping me out a month after closing! That is a rare trait in an agent! Working with Irvin is like working with a very knowledgeable close friend.

ZillowVERIFIED Irvin is a deal maker that knows the market and all the players youll need to engage to complete the sale. He does everything so you can focus on your real job and not spend your energy buying or selling a house. I'm super thankful for everything Irvin has done to help us buy a home and sell another.

ZillowVERIFIED I located Irvin online. My wife and I were agents in the Shenandoah Valley for a number of years. We wanted someone who really knew the area well and was experienced. Irvin did a great job of figuring out what we wanted and didn't waste his or our time on properties that were not of high interest. We had been coming to the area for 2 years just looking around, checking out houses and land independently. On Thursday we previewed 17 properties on our own. On Friday we went out to look hard at 7 properties with Irvin. We returned to our favorite Saturday, did a hard look over / inspection, and wrote the contract that day. Irvin is superb at knowing the values in the area, all the up and down sides of any area, connected us with a great home inspector. Irvin is just a wonderful person to work with. Thanks to Irvin we got the house we wanted, where we wanted, at a great price. Better yet, the purchase went quickly, easily, with no frustrations. Irvin is exactly the kind of agent we loved to work with when we were in real estate, and believe me, that's a fairly short list!

ZillowVERIFIED Irvin was instrumental in aiding my wife and I in locating the right property for us. He was very knowledgeable of property in the area and responsive to our inquiries. He seemed to always beat work and able to show us listings. He has now become a family friend and we would definitely use his services again. His knowledge of Middlesex County is only surpassed by the County Administrator... ; )

ZillowVERIFIED We have been looking for the right place for about a year. We saw a sign for Mason Realty on a home that interested us and called them for details. We were very lucky that Irvin Shackelford answered the phone. He made arrangements to view the property on very short notice. Once we decided we wanted to purchase the home he then proposed a negotiation strategy. We concurred and within a few days he negotiated favorable terms and we signed the contract. From that point forward Irvin really stood out. He anticipated our needs and made himself available to assist with each step in the purchase process right through closing. We could not have asked for a more responsive and professional agent to assist us in this process. We highly recommend Irvin to represent you with your Real Estate needs.

ZillowVERIFIED Wonderful knowledge of the area. Made the process easy. Irvin sold the lot to us originally and my husband was sure Irvin would be able to sale our home and get the price we asked for. Another agent was not willing to work with us but Irvin was extremely fair and a pleasure to work with.

ZillowVERIFIED Our house had been listed for over a year with another agent before we switched to Irvin. He was very helpful with setting a price at which he felt the house would sell. He was always responsive and was a strong advocate for us during the negotiation process. His experience with people in the community was a big asset to us during the process. I would highly recommend this agent.

ZillowVERIFIED I must first say that I am a skeptic, realtors and car salesmen I trust none of them ,but Mr. Shackelford changed my mind about him.Working with Mr. Shackelford was a wonderful experience. From the first day I met him which was the day I went to see my house for the first time. I appreciate the way he gave me a chance to walk around and look at the house alone he did not walk around with me trying to sell the house. As you see he scored very high with all the criteria above, but to me this is his job so he should score high. What impressed me the most was after we signed all the paperwork got the keys and moved into our house. We had a problem. Me thinking as I do I told my husband our house our problem. My husband called Mr. Shackelford and he came right over. He informed my husband that if the owner did not pay to have the issue corrected he himself would. The problem was corrected and it was not at our expense. Thank You Mr. Shackelford. I will say I am still somewhat of a skeptic but I would recommend Mr. Shackelford if you are ever looking for a realtor.

ZillowVERIFIED When we decided to look for riverfront property, we contacted Mason Realty and asked for a local agent to represent us. We were very lucky to get Irvin. His knowledge of the local real estate market was superb, and he was easily able to guide us toward properties that met our search criteria. He was very patient with us and effectively taught us what we needed to know about the river second home market. When we were ready to make offers, he negotiated a very competitive price on a great property and we were able to close promptly due to his support during the closing process. We would recommend Irvin to anyone in the market for riverfront property.

ZillowVERIFIED Irvin is fantastic! He knows those three counties (Middlesex, Gloucester, Mathews) like the back of his hand. Every question we had, he answered immediately, with added suggestions. He was tireless in his search for property that would please us, and he finally found the perfect one! He also was extremely helpful with every step of the property-buying process - offering much helpful counsel. In addition, he recommended a builder. We actually consider Irvin a friend now - a high compliment indeed.
