What made the process even easier is he had recommendations for a range of services (i.e., home cleaning, drywall repair, home inspector, etc) and even coordinated the scheduling of those services so we could focus on more important things during the buying and selling of our home. He never pushed or forced us to do anything we didn't want. Also, he gave very good guidance and stayed on top of things until our home was sold. We're home owners! A+++. I would like to first start by saying that Ian has went above and beyond throughout the entire process. As first time home owners, this process had the potential of being very stressful for a younger couple. Ian handled the entire experience with such a high level of professionalism and confidence that my husband and I still look back and comment about how easy and well informed we felt. Our house hunting and relationship with Ian began over 3 years ago when my husband and I were browsing the new home inventory for when we were ready to purchase. Since then, Ian has kept in contact with us (and not in an overbearing seller fashion) by updating the local inventory options via email. His style of professional perseverance helped us feel informed but not pressured. Once we were ready to purchase (3 years later!) we contacted Ian and he met us that same day, remembering every detail about us and our family. He came with a list of local houses on the market that fit our budget and within days, we found our "dream home". With Ian handling all of the "behind the scenes" work with the mortgage company and seller's agent, the process has been incredibly smooth.... and we officially moved in yesterday! There are many realtors out there that I am sure can get you into a house but if you want an exceptional experience, with a professional realtor who is unrelentingly on your side.... then Ian is your guy!

Ian was absolutely phenomenal, he provided outstanding service and was there every time we needed him for all of our little questions. We had a bad experience with our previous realtor but after the first time meeting Ian we knew we were in good hands. We were first time home buyers and using the VA and had no idea what was involved, Ian led us by the hand through the entire process and after a year and a half of looking all the way from Lovettesville to Culpeper (we were very specific in what we wanted) we found the perfect home and walked away with cash in hand! We will definitely call on Ian again when it comes time to sell.

My husband and I met Ian while looking at a few open houses and instantly knew we wanted to work with him to find our dream home (and sell the home we were occupying). Instead of making this a 'too long, didn't read' review - I will make a bulletized list of what Ian did to make our dreams come true: - Ian was always available via phone or email. I never waited more than a few hours to hear back from him, and even that was a lot longer than most. He was super quick to respond to any and all questions. - Ian was always honest. I am a worrier by nature and had a TON of questions about the selling / buying process. Ian always gave us the answer we had to hear, whether it was what we wanted to hear or not. - Ian was the one that read my style and introduced us to the home we ended up falling in love with and buying. - Ian's ability to market our offer and market our home was impeccable. And even when we were not exactly where we wanted to be financially - he helped make adjustments to get it where we needed to be. - Ian has a lot of good connections that have proved to be invaluable. Contractors, inspectors, mortgage lenders, settlement company...all by Ian's recommendation - and they all were superb. Now, I need to point something out - our process was a nightmare, but not because of anything Ian was a part of, or could even control. Because of him he made sure that we were taken care of as best as possible - even at the worst of times during this process. Had it been any other realtor, I believe that we would not have sold our home in less than 36 hours and closed on our dream house in less than a month (even with the hiccups that the buyer's lender brought to the situation). If you choose Ian you are choosing an honest, funny, friendly, and COMPETENT realtor.

Review This is the second time that Ian has assisted us with finding and securing a lease on a condo in the very crowded market of Fairfax, Virginia. Both times he has been essential to a successful outcome thanks to his grasp of both real estate law and his ability to remain calm and provide astute guidance when things seemed most difficult. He was particularly helpful with the second apartment even though it was being sold by the owner and he had no hope of a commision. His graceful exit from the transaction lest he makes us less competitive was particularly impressive. He did continue to advise us as we needed it.
