We were looking for a home while still living in Chicago.Helen was great getting initial requirements down and helping provide information we needed as well as answering our questions. Maria was great at driving me around to look at homes, set up appointments. When I was down for a short business trip, she was able to set up appointments quickly and fit in to my schedule. When we found a house, Maria was able to get the offer letter written up and ready for me to sign as I drove to the airport. I was able to sign it before boarding. When the offer was accepted, Maria was great at setting up an inspector, working on repair requests, and guiding the sale to close. The whole process was very well run and as stress free as home buying can be.

ZillowVERIFIED This realtor was recommended by a friend of mine and after an initial conversation on a Thursday afternoon i had no qualms about working with her. We agreed that we would meet at her office on the following Tuesday evening and she would email or call to confirm the appointment. Friday and Saturday - no communication. Sunday afternoon i finally got an email saying that I would no longer be working w/ her but an associate of hers. As you may imagine this did not sit well with me. The reason i had called her in the first place was based on a recommend for her... not her associate. Let me point out that the email i received Sunday was not a discussion but a decision. I was not contacted prior to this and asked if i'd like to work w/ anyone else. Based on this i can only assume that due to time constraints or my budget she did not want to work with me. In my dealings with Helen Archer i found her to be quite unprofessional... example: When i first called her phone she answered w/ a very terse "Hello" no identification was offered past that point and i had to pry to find out first if she was actually Helen Archer and second if she was a realtor. Couple this with the treatment i received being "passed around the office" and the slow response time. I can not recommend this realtor. In a city full of them i'm certain you can do better. I know i did. One last thought.... she was very pushy that i work w/ a local mortgage company and even after i assured her that i had financing that i was happy w/ lined up she continued w/ her insistence even going as far as to include his contact information in the email i received Sunday. In summation.... i found her to be completely unprofessional in almost all my dealings with her.
