FAQ
I first advise them to get prequalified, as most of the buyers obtain mortgages. I have a few top lenders that I recommend or they can use their own. I offer them advice about areas, schools and community services. I let them know about the cost of utilities.
After determining the motive for the move, I inquire about where they are moving to and offer them our premium relocation services so that they start working with an expert in the area they are moving to. I give them information regarding the current value of their home and whether it is a seller or buyers market and how we can price the home accordingly. I inform them about the average time it is taking between the list date and the sale date and give them relevant information as to how to get the home ready for marketing.
I've worked with buyers and sellers of all ages...first time home buyers and sellers as well as seasoned buyers/sellers and have financial services ready for both, geared to their need. I've worked with people in all different ages groups and can relate well to all of them. Also have worked with Veterans and people needing senior housing and am very familiar with all the 55+ communities and amenities.
I am especially fond of a couple that were referred to me through my network of past clients. They wanted out of their current neighborhood and into an area with more professional young couples like themselves. We found a wonderful home in a Gated/Club House Community that they felt was just perfect for them. A few of their very close friends and family members lived nearby. I was able to sell their current home quickly and at a great price which netted them enough to put a sizeable downpayment and have lots left over for renovations. I put them together with an excellent handyman/builder who did amazing updates to the property. We just went to their house-warming event last night and it was just amazing! They introduced me to all their freinds and family and told them what an awesome job we did for them. We got many leads from that party last night of some of their friends and family who want to upgrade and move close to them!
I was first in Real Estate Law assisting top Real Estate Attorneys in New York City. One of the Big Real Estate Moguls in New York at the time, Evangeline Gouletas-Carey, who was the wife of my Employer suggested strongly that I should be in Real Estate Sales and not Assisting an Attorney if I moved to Florida, as their was a boom going on and she recognized that my personality was perfect for sales as I always recommend services and product that I’m fond of and feel would be an asset to my friends and family. So, I was quickly hired by a New Home Builder who sponsored my sales course to get my licenses. Im now a 25 year Veteran and loving it.
I have Relocation Education and am a Certified Relocation Assistant; I have a Legal Background for which I took College Courses. I have taken courses in Mortgage Lending and have gone to Tom Hopkins Sales Courses and went to his 3 Day Hopkins University which was a big jolt in my career.
