Ms De Laurentys was listing and selling agent my latest home purchase. I found her to be a true professional who truly enjoys her job, always has a smile on her face, has a firm handshake and looks you in the eye when talking to you. I had a very unique situation during the purchase of my home and had to have more meetings with her than normal. She was on time all of the meetings and came prepared and ready to discuss the latest developments. In the service we talked about the whole man concept, well Gerilyn fits the full woman concept. I first met Gerilyn because she was the listing agent for the home I was interested in purchasing. Because of some unique circumstances it took around three months, and numerous meetings to close on the house. I had many meetings with her during this time and she was always on time and totally focused with helping me. She is a total professional, very personable and does an amazing job of communicating. Very organized, diligent, thorough. Our house sold quickly and at a price above market. Additionally, we had moved out of town while our house was on the market and our house alarm went off several times. In addition to handling our home sale, Gerilyn also dealt with the false alarms. Excellent agent and I would definitely use her again.

My house didn't sell, do I need a new agent?

I don't think firing an agent so quickly is the right move. If you're getting a lot of showings and traffic at open houses but no offers, it is probably priced too high. However, I would want to know what your market looks like- what is the average days on market homes are sitting in your area? If the average home takes 3-4 months to sell, then your house is still right on track and doesn't merit a price drop. However, if homes are typically going under contract after a few weeks, price may be something to consider. Ask your agent to run the numbers for you.
