ZillowVERIFIED The process of selling our home seemed complex and overwhelming, but George and his awesome team from GK Realty made it super easy, and most importantly, very quick. We had an Open House fully organized and conducted by Hester, our GK selling agent, just 3 days after we signed the listing contract. I was delighted to learn that just after this one Open House event they came up with 3 offers, all of them exceeding the sale price! All potential buyers were already verified and pre approved for the loan before we even sat at the table (beautiful GK Group office in Coral Springs) to select the best candidate. Both George and Hester were very professional and effective throughout the entire process. They are full of passion, caring, patient, and within reach all the time. Our closing took place within 30 days of accepting the offer. Very little paperwork on our behalf. I also need to mention Kiara, the manager coordinating the process as a whole. She possesses excellent communication skills, is super nice, and determined to always satisfy the client. ZillowVERIFIED The real estate associate who is an employee of George Khoury was hired to sell our home, they are refusing to release us from our listing agreement even though the listing description was inaccurate and substandard and she was recently licensed in October and misrepresented herself upon initial interview. She has no negotiation experience and no real estate seller representative experience, and she and her broker sent 3 documents with information that was written in technical language and misrepresented the true meaning (email documentation) when asked for an explanation to the owners in their mid 20s and early 30s, busy with their work schedules and not real estate experts. Now they are forcing us to continue the listing with them until May 31st even after the acts that were not to our best interest. We are not getting along, it is causing dissention in my family, and they are combative and continuously threatening lawsuits if we do not comply with their demands to sell our home in the way they want to. We told them that we no longer want to sell our home after experiencing the service of the brand new realtor (received her license 3 months ago) and definitely do not want to continue being associated with them and that we should not pay them 5% of the listing price plus $495 in order to be released from the listing agreement. The broker also requested cash for the listing expenses and did not want to accept a check when he stated that he would release us. I told him that in the case that he does not provide the listing photos and video, we could inform the bank that the product was not delivered and launch a dispute. We no longer trust this company. We no longer want to work with them nor, in my opinion, should we have to pay them $15,000 as we have not yet had a serious buyer brought to us who is able to provide a bank offer letter with the required amount since November when the listing began. Are these behaviors ethical and lawful? He also is continuing to attempt to speak with 2 of the 3 family members who are stakeholders in this property even though weve asked him to include all of us. The one who speaks up about things that are not aimed at our best interest is excluded from the conversations. He suggests things that benefit him and not us, the client. How can we get this person to leave us alone?
