I am also an NMLS licensed mortgage loan originator with over 25 years of experience originating and funding millions of dollars of home and commercial mortgages. All of my transactions are challenges and great. None have been a problem. As a problem solver, I make sure each deal works and closes smoothly. The best deal I can remember was when I sold a home with a mentally challenged homeowner. She was lucid most days, and other times she was incapacitated. Her husband helped guide her through the escrow and sale transaction. I was proud to have helped her sell this home without a hiccup, given the pressing issues at the time.
After Stanford University, I entered the business school and found my calling. My father inspired me to buy and own real estate, in essence, to be a landlord.
I am a specialist and a professor of MBA business students. I teach real estate licensure to career individuals and I hold MBA, JD, Ph.D. terminal degrees. I may be overqualified to sell, but I am humbled at the individual challenges of every transaction I encounter. No advanced degree can prepare any realtor to face the reality of life, the challenges of families and raising children and others. Life is always a complex matter. Realtors must learn to be problem solvers, not just marketing gurus.
