FAQ
Try to focus on both the lifestyle and the long-term financial picture, not just the house itself. I always encourage buyers to have a clear understanding of what they feel comfortable spending before they start looking so they can make confident decisions when the right home comes along. Preparation really matters in this market. Having a strong lender, understanding the process, and knowing what’s most important to you makes everything feel much less overwhelming.
I also remind buyers that no home is perfect, and that’s okay. The goal is finding the home that feels right for this stage of your life while also making a smart investment decision. Buying a home is a big milestone and can feel emotional at times, so my role is to help clients feel informed, protected, and supported throughout the process. I want them to feel excited and confident, not pressured or stressed.
Presentation and preparation matter more than ever. Buyers are more selective today, so the homes that feel well-maintained, thoughtfully prepared, and priced strategically are still standing out and selling well.
I always tell sellers that the goal is to create an emotional connection for buyers from the moment they walk through the door or see the home online. Sometimes that means making small updates, decluttering, staging, improving lighting, or simply approaching the pricing and marketing strategy differently.
I also think communication is extremely important. Selling a home can feel emotional and stressful, and my job is to guide clients through each step with clarity and honesty so they feel supported throughout the process.
I’ve worked with a wide variety of clients throughout Northern Virginia, including first-time buyers, growing families, downsizers, luxury sellers, investors, relocation clients, and individuals navigating major life transitions such as divorce, estate sales, or the loss of a loved one.
A large part of my business comes from repeat clients and referrals, which means a lot to me. Many of my clients stay in touch long after closing, and I think that comes from taking a very relationship-focused approach rather than treating transactions like numbers.
One transaction that stands out was helping a client purchase what she called her “forever home.” She was overseas during much of the process, so there were a lot of moving parts, time zone challenges, inspections, lender coordination, and closing logistics to manage.
It required constant communication, problem solving, and a calm approach when unexpected issues came up, but in the end everything came together successfully. What made it especially meaningful was how emotional and important the move was for her personally. Those are the transactions I’m most proud of because it goes far beyond just buying or selling a property. It’s helping someone through a major life moment.
I’ve been an entrepreneur for over two decades and have lived in Vienna for more than 25 years, so I’ve always loved homes, neighborhoods, and the sense of community here in Northern Virginia.
I officially started my real estate career in 2013, and what drew me in was the combination of strategy, marketing, negotiation, and helping people through important transitions in their lives. I quickly realized that I genuinely enjoyed guiding clients through the process and creating a more thoughtful, supportive experience than what many people expect from real estate.
Today I’m part of the Maple Ave Living Team at Compass, and we focus heavily on Vienna, Oakton, and the surrounding Northern Virginia communities.
In addition to over a decade of real estate experience, I bring a strong background in marketing, negotiation, client communication, and strategic home preparation. I spend a lot of time studying market trends, pricing strategies, and digital marketing so I can position homes effectively in today’s market.
I’m also part of the Maple Ave Living Team, which gives my clients access to a collaborative team environment with expertise in staging, marketing, local market knowledge, and transaction coordination.
Most importantly, I think my experience living and working in this community for so many years allows me to provide insight that goes beyond the transaction itself. I’m able to help clients understand neighborhoods, schools, lifestyle considerations, timing, and long-term value in a very practical and honest way.
