Diane continued to send us listings and discussing any properties we were possibly interested in purchasing. Her expertise in the Pawleys Island area is second to none. Fast forward to October 2024 Diane was instrumental in the purchase of our second home in the Pawleys Island area. Diane did an excellent job in negotiating a purchasing price and allowances for any necessary repairs. Diane assisted with inspections, recommended insurance companies and a contractor to repair and complete any updates we want to make. Diane prepared us for and assisted us through the closing. My wife and I have not purchased a home in 29 years and the process has changed so much in that time, but Diane patiently walked us thorough every step and in the end found us the perfect home. We were purchasing from out of state and this presented some difficult conditions in the current market. Sellers were getting multiple offers over asking price and were accepting offers in under a week. This does not lend itself well to traveling from out of state to personally inspect a property before making an offer. We learned this the hard way when we lost the first home that caught our interest to a cash offer accepted in less than 48 hours. We were looking for a home in aEURoemove inaEUR? condition and these do not sit long in the current market. Knowing we needed to do something different, we discussed the problem with Diane and decided that we would be willing to buy prior to being on site if it was the right home. Purchasing something this important without laying eyes on it first is something I had heard of, but never imagined that I would ever be comfortable enough with to take that approach, but with Diane we felt we could go this route and rely on her experience and professionalism to guide us. While Diane insisted that she would find us the perfect home, after 2 months we were really beginning to doubt that we would ever find what we were looking for. We were getting regular notices from Zillow each week (which Diane set up for us) but very few homes were being offered that met our criteria. When the perfect one did finally show up we emailed Diane immediately, and at virtually the same time she sent us a aEURoeheads-upaEUR? on the property. Later that same day her son Michael, along with my friend who had recommended Diane to us when we started our search, were at the house on a zoom video call. ZillowVERIFIED We were referred to Diane by a friend who worked with her a few years ago to buy a condo. The friend gave a glowing recommendation. We got in touch with Diane and she quickly got back to us. Each time we texted or emailed her, she was quick to respond. When we visited the area we were interested in seeing, she made plenty of time to work with us. We made 2 offers on condos after we went back home and Diane worked diligently to submit the offers and keep us appraised of the progress. After losing out on both offers (out bid), she kept us informed when anything new came on the market and within a week, we bid on and purchased a condo. Since we weren't in the area, she helped us see the condo virtually and was able to answer our questions. Diane was there when we needed her.
