The selling agent works for the seller and not you. Yes there are dual agencies, but if you really want to protect yourself AND find the best fit you need a "buyers broker". No matter how much you think you know - if you are not a real estate professional and you represent yourself you have a fool for a client.I always use a buyers broker and Desiree Whalen is among, if not the best I have worked with. Desiree listens and gains your trust by learning what works for you and why. Although a very busy agent she makes the time and makes things happen when they should. ZillowVERIFIED When we were planning to move from New England to Wilmington, we interviewed several realtors, but immediately felt comfortable with Desiree and decided to work with her. We are thrilled that we did, because we clearly made the best choice! We had a limited time frame in which to find a new home, so over the course of three days, Desiree showed us a wide array of houses which met our criteria, in several neighborhoods. On day four, we narrowed our choices to two homes, and we re-visited those. Then we made our final choice and, with Desiree's help, we made an offer which was accepted following quick and painless negotiations.
