She is intimately familiar with the locations she works in -- as soon as she walked in my house, she knew what model it was, which developer built it, and the approximate build date. When my wife and I hired Debbie to help us find a home, we were initially quite vague and unclear about what we were looking for, and yet very exacting about what we wanted in a home. Debbie worked with us very patiently over a period of several months to refine what we were looking for. She internalized our needs, expectations and wishes (both stated and unstated), continually reassuring us that she would help us find our perfect home - and she delivered. Debbie knows the NJ area and real estate market really well, is very experienced in all aspects of the home buying process, negotiates hard for her client, and really does go the extra mile. She rearranged her schedule several times to show us houses we liked - on late evenings, weekends, even on her birthday. She stayed at the office past midnight to get our offer in to the seller in a very competitive situation, and then worked with the seller to get us all kinds of extras thrown in. After the offer was accepted, she stayed involved with all the minutiae, keeping us updated, reminding us to send things in, and making recommendations for services we needed. It was the most seamless buying process we have experienced. Our only criticism of Debbie is that she was almost always 5-15 minutes late for our appointments, perhaps due to overbooking her various commitments. Not a big deal, but something to take note of and plan for, especially if you have a busy or tight schedule. But simply put - Debbie really cares about her clients, takes your home buying needs very personally, and works really hard to get the job done.

Because of our work and travel schedules we had very short and tight windows of opportunity to look as houses and she accommodated them all. ZillowVERIFIED Debbie is an encyclopedia. She knows the greater Princeton area extremely well. She has answers off the top of her head to almost all of my questions on builders, communities, schools, contractors, etc. She is still my go-to person even after we closed on the house. Thanks to her, we found our house within the first month of our search. She probably knew from our first meeting what was the best option for us. ZillowVERIFIED I wanted to find a house where I could spend my retirement years and still feel part of a community. Debbie took me all over the Princeton area explaining the opportunities for social connections and resources available in each different type of housing and community. Once I indicated the areas I liked, Debbie located houses that met my criteria for style and price. I decided on a house and Debbie had to really begin to work for me as the dealing was not easy. She negotiated the price I wanted and fought for a reasonable closing date. During the month before closing with the inspection and other tasks that had to be done, Debbie took a personal interest to see that everything happened on time so we could be ready by closing date. This included connecting me to people and companies who could help me have the house ready. She did all this with positive energy and a full commitment to me. Since moving into my new home, Debbie has helped me network, make new friends and, best of all, become a personal friend. I have been buying houses for more than 40 years and have found it a rare occasion to have as helpful and pleasant an experience from a real estate agent. This was a trying and emotional move for me and I can never thank Debbie enough for her caring about all the details and for finding exactly what I wanted in a new home. I love it!

ZillowVERIFIED We felt like Debbie paid a lot of lip service to how much she cares about her clients but clearly didn't pay attention to the answers we provided to her questions and constantly asked us for the same information over and over again. Moreover, she recommended a listing price well above market value and then pressured us to accept the first offer that came in $40K below listing. In terms of local knowledge, Debbie claimed to know the area like the back of her hand, in part because she lives there. She also claimed to be very familiar with our neighborhood, having helped buyers look at homes there before. However, after she hosted a broker's open house, she reported back to us that several other brokers told her they would never recommend our neighborhood to their clients because it appears to be a flood zone (despite the fact that the township said it was not). If she's such a local expert, why were the other agents informing her of this? Finally, Debbie was simply inconsiderate with our time. She called us on the day before the Superbowl and asked if she could hold an open house the next morning. This was also after an overnight snowstorm. We were annoyed that she didn't give us more advance notice and that she didn't seem to have a grasp on the fact that a last minute open house on Superbowl Sunday after a snowstorm would probably fail and be a waste of our time. Additionally, Debbie was at least 15 minutes late to every meeting we ever had with her. In fact, she was late to the first open house she hosted. We had left our house 10 minutes before the 1 p.m. start time and noticed cars parked on the road, waiting to check out the house. We were concerned that she wasn't there at the point we were leaving, but trusted she would show up shortly. We received a phone call from her 10 minutes after the open house was supposed to begin and she told us she was running late. We just didn't feel like a priority to Debbie once we signed with her.
