ZillowVERIFIED I cannot provide a positive review for Deawn. She was friendly in the beginning and there is where it ended. I felt she provided more benefit to another realtor's client versus providing benefit to her own client. There were times I felt her communication was demeaning and unprofessional and just left my anxiety at an all time high. My experience with Deawn left much to be desired to be as polite as possible. Her limited knowledge on some details of real estate law was startling. I am not new to purchasing or selling homes and I will say there were times through our process that I reached out to other real estate professionals for advice to verify and correct information she provided.Ultimately the job was completed, but not to my satisfaction by any means.

I called her because I was having issues getting my realtor to get back to me, about houses that I was interested in and I wanted to know something now. When she answered the phone, I told her I had some questions about a property she was listed on. She said oh yes I know that home and area well. She also stated she was just heading out the door to drop her son off at practice and she could show it to me in 20 minutes. I explained again that I already had a realtor, she told me that she understood that, however, she wouldn't mind showing me the house if I wanted to see it. I reluctantly agreed figuring oh great she's gonna get me to the house and try and get me to chose her (car salesman image). When I arrived at the address she was already there waiting for me. When she got out of her car I was in awe. Here stood a normal run of the mill mom, no corporate shark look, just a sweet smiling lady who honestly just wanted to be kind and show me the home.This was a far cry from my current realtor who hade been making us feel as if we weren't big enough fish to fry in his big plan of sales. When we did the walk through of the property Deawn was making small talk with me, and we were roll playing what it would be like to live there. (Ex. sitting on the front porch enjoying a cup of coffee watching the sunrise). I found it truly amazing how easy it was to talk and connect with her. However, I still kept looking for the game and the steal. She had to be working me right? When we were done with the property I thanked her for dropping everything to show me the home. She shook my hand and than handed me her card. I thought yep! I knew it was to good to be true. However she surprised me with, "here's my card if your interested in purchasing this property have your realtor give me a call, I'll be glad to talk with him." What? She wasn't working no angle? She was just an honest to goodness kind soul wanting to help another person out because she could. This fact alone made me go home and tell my husband we were firing our current realtor and hiring Deawn! That decision was the best one I could've ever made. She came right out of the gate looking and working with us to find that perfect house. She didn't care that I sent her lots of addresses to look into for us. Finally one day I came across the home we're in now. Deawn was always making sure each house fit our needs. The house had just been listed that morning and she didn't think it would work for our family, that it looked way to small on paper. However, if I wanted to still look at it she would meet me at the house. I said yes please call and make arrangements for me to see the house. Again, she was there before we got there and when I walked up she said, you know what? This house is perfect for your family, that there was more to the house than was listed. We walked around the house and immediately fell in love with it! Deawn went to work on getting us the best deals and before we knew it we were buying our first home. All of this happened within two weeks of making the change to Deawn. The other guy was working on 2 months of nothing to show us. If your looking for someone who cares more about what it is you want and not what she wants you to have, than look no further! If, she hadn't of cared more for me than her bottom dollar I would've never found this little gem!
