ZillowVERIFIED Chris was instrumental and absolutely phenomenal in the purchase of our first home, which was also our dream home!! Chris was very thorough with her research of comparables, transparent about the houses interest, and very prompt with submitting our offer. A simple call to Chris the morning after the house was listed led to a mortgage pre-approval within an hour per her referral, a showing at noon, and our offer accepted before the days end. However, that was only the beginning. Chris stood by our side through the entire process. ZillowVERIFIED I am the trustee of a trust responsible for the sale of a Madison family home built in 1908 after sixty years of ownership by that family. Dan and Shelley were instrumental at every step of achieving a successful sale. It began months before listing when they visited the house to identify maintenance and repairs to increase the property's value and marketability. They supported the family in deciding which projects to undertake; when those decisions were made they provided a list of contractors with whom they'd worked and highly recommended. From there, Dan and Shelley were able to get this home on the work schedules of those contractors at a very busy time of year. They were on the spot anytime I asked to help obtain a bid or facilitate entry to the home. Every contractor they recommended did quality work in a timely manner at a fair price. When the time came to list the house Dan and Shelley did extensive market research, including a very close focus on the historic neighborhood in which the home is located. They enlisted the assistance of Debbie, their team's stager, to best showcase the home. They made a sound recommendation on listing price. The property hit the market on a Thursday afternoon; by Saturday evening I had an accepted primary offer in hand with a solid secondary offer on hold. All of this occurred against a backdrop of local Covid-19 concerns. Their solid reputation among Madison real estate professionals helped ensure trust and communication with the buyers agents from acceptance of the offer through closing. The sale successfully closed one month later. Obtaining a great offer to purchase within two days of listing is impressive. The fact that Dan and Shelley invested more than eight months of their time and attention to achieve that outcome is even more impressive. I have and will continue to highly recommend Dan, Shelley and their whole team. They are consummate professionals.

We had kept up with his blog over the last few years as the market continued to recover slowly from the housing market crash, and that's how we knew that the time to put our condo on the market again had finally arrived. Dan did not disappoint. He gave us honest feedback to help us price our condo correctly for the current market conditions, and he recommended and oversaw improvements that would increase our chances of selling it quickly this time around. He offered us two free months of staging, which was done very tastefully and definitely improved the condo's ambience, based on the photos we saw. Since we now live and work in another state, we really appreciated never having to take time out of our busy lives to travel back to Madison for any part of the process. Dan was able to handle every step - from initial preparations, improvements, and staging to listing and selling - without us present. In the end, we had a fairly smooth sale, with only very minor speed bumps (not due to Dan). We therefore highly recommend Dan if you are thinking of listing a place in the downtown Madison area.
