Cynthia was our daughter's agent and our daughter couldn't have been more pleased with Cynthia's guidance and expertise. Cindy is extremely proactive, energetic, friendly and easy to talk with, she is always available and accessible by phone or text when we had a question or needed reassurance. She showed us several properties until we finally settled on one we fell in love with. We bought a historic stone house over 250+ years old in Teaneck. She was even able to renegotiate a price reduction after our inspection, while we were in attorney review, because there was additional unforeseen structural work that needed to be done. She was our own personal cheerleader every step of the way, from the offer being accepted to the loan approval process, to attorney review and closing day. Cindy was there to give us the confidence and reassurance that we made the right choice. We highly recommend her and cant say enough good things about her. ZillowVERIFIED If you are looking for a realtor to sell your home quickly and well, then I would highly recommend hiring Cynthia Fowlkes from Re-Max InStyle Realty in Skillman, NJ. My husband and I are very grateful to have found her in our search for the right realtor to sell our home in Somerset, NJ, in 2017. We had tried to sell it previously in June of 2015 with another realtor for six months without success. The other realtor did not have a team in place the way Cindy does to get your home in the best shape for an easy sale. She did not price our home correctly and resisted doing anything above and beyond taking her own pictures of our home and putting it on the MLS listings. Her poor judgment and passive lackluster performance led to the failure to find the right buyer for our home. When hiring a realtor, you want someone who will be proactive and energetic. You also want someone who will guide you well and have your back, especially if the going gets rough. We ultimately had to rent our home and had another very negative experience with both the realtor, who was a dual agent, and who had the tenants interests at heart, and the difficult tenants leasing our home. When we finally were able to put our home back up for sale, I did some careful research. I liked how technologically savvy Cindy is. I saw she did a lot of marketing on the internet in addition to her MLS listings. I also liked how she presented homes in her listings. She hires a professional photographer to do your home pictures. Your home, no matter what price range it is, gets the same professional treatment as very high-priced homes. Cindy wants to do her best to make your home look as attractive as possible so it will sell quickly and well. She has an amazing team that helps work their magic at affordable prices. One member of her team even constructed a new stone countertop for our kitchen and installed a new sink and faucet as well. The landscaper on her team is the best I have ever seen. He will transform your property to make it as appealing as possible. We wish we could transport him to where we are now living. He is that good. We even had him do the power washing for our home because we knew he would do such an outstanding job. It is Cindy who has attracted and vetted this great team. After your home is ready for sale, Cindy knows how to price it well. She knows her comps and is also open to what sellers are thinking. If you are painting or replacing carpeting, she will also make some color and product recommendations. In addition to all the energy and expertise Cindy brings to her job, she is a very accomplished and spiritual woman who will always uplift and energize those around her. My husband loved talking with her because of her endless optimism and upbeat aEURoecan-doaEUR? inspirational spirit. Through past experiences, we were so saddened to learn what a cut-throat and selfish business real estate can be. Coming from such negative realtor experiences, Cindy was a breath of fresh air. If I had to have one criticism, it would be that she was not always available when we wanted to talk to her or follow up on some loose ends. However, everything ultimately was done. Being so successful, she is often very busy. We had to rely more on her because we were living out of state. Since my homes listing, Cindy now has her own support team dedicated to her clients. I think that will help with the smaller details and free her up to what she does best aEUR" to help her clients buy and sell their homes for the best prices. Our home was listed in June and closed on August 31. We had two offers and sold at just $3,000 below our asking price. That was mainly because of an appraisal that was lower than it should have been. Take care when making the decision to hire a realtor. You want someone who is technologically savvy, energetic and proactive both in trying to sell your home or helping you to buy one. Check their listings and read their reviews. Then after connecting with them, make sure the chemistry is right. We were lucky to find Cindy. We know she will continue to do great work for those she is serving and for her employees and business. She always has ideas and a vision of what she wants to achieve for her clients, her employees and her business. I believe the best realtors are the ones who will treat you as though you are a member of their family and that they would want no less for you than what they would want for their mother, father, brother or sister. I wish more realtors had both the vision and heart that Cindy has along with her experience and wise expertise.
