Craig was spot on with evaluating the players and giving me advice when needed. And his predictions he had in the beginning became true in the end when I let the contingency go. I was concerned with it being winter time, but within a month, he had a reliable full price offer back in place, which closed last Friday. ZillowVERIFIED The Craig McKenzie Team is the best I've ever seen. I met first with Craig because he helped my son and daughter-in-law find and buy their house four years ago. He asked his Lead Buyer's Agent, Jim Woessner. to help me find and buy a condo. From my first look the first day we went out to the closing took only 25 days. Everyone did their very best to work together to get all the paperwork, inspections, dealings with the seller, etc. done quickly and efficiently. They even met me at the condo four times for showing my family, carpet measuring, and looking with an electrician to add ceiling fans. Jim kept me posted almost daily about progress through the process. I have already recommended the Team multiple times as the best way to search for and buy a home in the north part of Whidbey Island. As a bonus because I'm a teacher, Jim participated in Homes for Heroes and gave me nice percentage of his realtor's commission back to help with my closing costs. This has been a great experience and I'm super pleased to be settling into the condo before the start of the school year!

My wife and I found the perfect place for us and we were ready to rush right into the purchase, but Craig and his team slowed us down just enough to discover that there were some major problems with the house. He was able to negotiate a brand new septic system in the purchase without our offer coming up in price at all. Had it not been for Craig, we would have surely moved into the property and needed to replace it ourselves shortly after. Plus, with his Homes For Heros rebate, we didn't have to bring anything to closing. We couldn't be more happy with the way everything turned out. The amount of money Craig and Debbie saved us on our purchase was more than the team received in commission on the sale of our old home and the purchase of the new. I'll never buy or sell here in Whidbey without them again.

The market was tough, every home listed in my price range seemed to be on the market for only one or sometimes only a few hours before an offer had been accepted. Later that year, when I decided to sell my property, I listed it with Craig. I couldn't be happier with the service provided by both Craig and Debbie Carrothers. They are very knowledgeable and they're work ethic is second to none. Selling a house is stressful, but Craig has a way of moving the process along in a way that keeps things light and is very reassuring. He and Debbie were always available to advise us as sellers and buyers, and we came to realize that the advice they were providing was always spot on. Ultimately we got everything we wanted out of the sale, and it looks as though we will get everything we need out of the purchase. Craig was very helpful and answered all my questions since I first met him, so I decided to work with him. He answered all our questions and provided us all the information that we needed to know. The seller's agent was kind of new and wasn't a local, so Craig had to negotiate with him and talked them into selling the house for a lower price (they weren't willing at first despite being on the market for a month already!). Craig got them to agree and we couldn't be happier! Debbie did a lot of the work as well and did a part of the negotiation and we couldn't be more thankful! Jonathan (Craig's co-worker I believe) covered for Craig when Craig was not available, and he showed us a lot of the houses that we checked out, including the house that we bought!
