ZillowVERIFIED Courtney Yates was the best research I've ever done.My wife and I were just beginning the process of seriously looking at purchasing our first home and we stumbled upon Courtney through Dave Ramsey's website, so we knew there must have been a serious vetting process to get on that approved list! The process of receiving calls from unknown real estate agents with no prior knowledge of their experience, expertise, and actual value in the process had been absolutely overwhelming, so we were glad to have been pointed to someone with much experience.When I received the 1st call from Courtney her polite and calm demeanor reminded me of speaking with an old friend. She gently guided us to all the right places to begin our home search and provided resources we didn't have access to beforehand. There was constant contact with us throughout the entire process, but it wasn't overwhelming, as if she was meeting us at our own pace. We so appreciated that! I learned in the home-buying process the reason you hire a professional rather than DIY---CONNECTIONS. Any good professional has excellent resources & connections they've made through years of doing business and let me tell you... Courtney has connections! She is one of the most respected Realtors in town and when she says something is going to happen, people moved out of their way to make it happen! We felt a little like royalty on our first (and last) house search with her. A route was mapped out prior to our visit with her and we thoroughly inspected each and every house out while she informed us of inside details at each place and what would or wouldn't be a good deal. It was as if she instantly knew our style/preferences on homes--so much so that she wouldn't even get out of the car when she knew it would be a "no" from us--she could just tell!We finally landed on our place. She sat down in the living room as we were running around busily checking the home for the 2nd or 3rd time because she already just "knew", even before we did. She was right. It was our place, and has been the best purchase we have ever made. Heck, it was the best purchase EXPERIENCE we've ever had! Her negotiating skills were excellent and held much weight with the other realtor, she was honest & upfront with us about what to expect financially as well as realistic time-frames. It was exactly as she predicted and our first offer went through in such a crazy Nashville market!After the purchase of our home and we were moving in, the former owner did not mow their lawn and the grass was quite high. Courtney went above and beyond and arranged for not only the lawn to be mowed but all of the brush we tore down from yard to be picked up PAID IN FULL. We were blown away, what a weight lifted off our shoulders that first week of moving out and in to a new place! Not only that, but she stopped by weeks later and checked in on us and delivered the sweetest house warming gift! I'm talking about 11/10 rating here! Service like this is a rare gem. She knows everything on the market & has a crazy 6th sense for finding houses. We asked for a 4 bed, 3 bath in a tight price range & she found us a 5 & 3.5 in that range (plus amenities I hadnt even hoped for - like a gas stove, a tankless water heater, & a neighborhood pool). She was a fierce negotiator on our behalf and every time there was a hiccup she had it fixed almost before I even had time to worry. She is last word in realtors. You cannot go wrong with Courtney.
