Cory Metts

Hello, my name is Cory Metts with Hometown Realty. I am a real estate professional serving the Richmond and Great Richmond Community. Currently, I am a member of three Multiple Listing Services (MLS's): Richmond Association of Realtors, Charlottesville Association of Realtors, and South Central Association of Realtors. This allows me to sell from the Afton area all the way to New Kent, and everything in between. Real estate runs in my blood. I grew up in a family that has almost exclusively invested in real estate. Since the age of 5, I have been walking property, learning about new construction and renovations, and figuring out zoning regulations. I am an alumnus of Longwood University where I studied accounting and finance. I began practicing my trade shortly after college as an accounting associate for a large international insurance company. After about a year in that industry, a family member at Thanksgiving dinner sparked my interest in looking at becoming a realtor. I undecidedly took a class, and within two sessions, I was hooked! Not looking back, I took the real estate exam and became a licensed realtor in the state of Virginia. From that point on, I knew that real estate was my calling. I am continually growing and becoming more enthralled with this business the longer I am in it. Each day is a new adventure. My passion is helping others (families, investors, and singles alike!) find what they love. I also have a strong passion for giving back to the community. I am a member of three local boards: the Young Leaders Board of World Pediatric Project, the YMCA board, and CAPITAL& Career Accelerator. 10% of all real estate commissions go to charity.
