I loved the binder he put together with fliers and a directory of local eats/attractions/grocery etc. After that, he was very easy to work with on setting up homes to look at, as I was obviously in a little hurry to find a new place. There was never a time he could not meet. He was honest with me on homes we looked at, that were not the right fit or had things he knew I did not want. I personally liked using the app on my phone to work with him immediately on any documents that needed signed/updated, very easy to use and quick. He was more than happy to help us find our dream home. We all jumped right in together with Chris scheduling a booking for us to view a house the next day. He provided us with knowledge on older homes and had us thinking about things that we never even thought to consider. That house was a bust, but 2 days later Chris showed us our future home. We did a walk through, fell in love, and Chris put in an offer and worked late into the night to help us buy our very first home! He was very knowledgeable and had great recommendations for negotiation points. After our bid was accepted, Chris provided us with a list of reputable home inspectors. We went through the inspection report together and Chris helped us figure out what to request from the seller. Being a first time home buyer is daunting and very overwhelming, but Chris held our hands through the whole process and made everything smooth, simple, and a lot less scary. It's been almost 5 months since we've been in our home and Chris still checks in to see how everything is going. ZillowVERIFIED Chris is the exact kind of realtor others should model themselves after. When helping us buy a home, he provided the positives AND the negatives of the house according to what characteristics we were looking for; design issues, potential maintenance issues etc. He gave us his opinion on what we should offer for the new home, along with what additions and/or stipulations should be included based on the inspection and our preferences. For example, the home we bought had window issues. Not only did he provide his advice on asking for a window allowance, he suggested we ask for a higher amount than we proposed based on the work needed, and it paid off. With selling my home, he gave me specific advice on which inspection items I should fix, vs which items should be fixed by the new owner. With it being a sellers' market at the time of sale, he helped me negotiate closing costs and listing price, thus, saving us thousands. In today's world where For Sale by Owner is becoming more prominent, Chris saved/negotiated enough to make his commission MORE than worth it. Not only did he save us money, but he provided a very good learning experience that prepares both me and my fiancA(C) for any future home sales/purchases. He sets the bar very high and I would recommend him to any friends and family.
