His website/timeline is easy to follow, and his team reached out frequently to update us as well. At the beginning we were given a notebook that had several tips and suggestions to ease our way through the process. Text messages, calls and emails were always promptly answered. Even setting up the showings was easy with a simple text, and the appts were set for as soon as we could get into the homes. When we decided to make an offer, Chad quickly drew up the paperwork, so there was no waiting. Days before we closed there was a large storm, and he even hired someone to clean off the roof, because the seller's had already left the state. Coordination of the key turnover was simple, and he offered us a few convenient ways for us to collect the keys. After we closed, he has invited us to a few different events for his clients. ZillowVERIFIEDWe just sold our home in Ruston. This was our first experience using a real estate agent. In the past, weve bought and sold homes by doing business directly with buyers and sellers. That plan worked for us in the past but this is a different and much more aggressive market so we decided to go with a pro. And we ended up with a professional who knows how to set the standard for others. We contacted the Hauer Group after doing a little research. Jeremy Logar was the agent who got the assignment. Jeremy spent a lot of time explaining his unique plan to market our property. He was clear about the process and frequently reminded us that we were under no obligation for anything until the moment we accepted an offer. He understands that parting with a family home can be emotionally taxing and he wanted to make sure that we were sure of our path before we passed the point of no return. Jeremy was in contact frequently to update us on the progress of our sale. The plan and the process were masterpieces. in the end, we had 52 showings in 5 days. The result was eight offers, three of which met our wildest dream of $100k over our asking price. These were very solid offers from well-qualified buyers. And, as a bonus, the deal closed in three weeks. I should add a note here that we learned the value of having a great agent in your corner when youre buying. The buyers for our home had a terrific agent who really knew how to put together a solid offer. Although other offers were attractive, the winning offer stood head and shoulders above the rest. In in the past few days since closing, Ive heard from friends who also are selling. I keep thinking they short-changed themselves by not having Jeremy on their team. I have one additional note here. One of the skills to be rated here on Zillow is negotiation skills. Its worth noting that the process Jeremy uses avoids negotiations. He sets up competitive bidding in a way that inspires serious potential buyers to submit their best and highest offer without the need for negotiations. If youre reading this review and considering the idea of using the Hauer group for your real estate transaction, please do yourself a favor and sign with them. These folks are the best.

ZillowVERIFIEDWe listed our house for sale with Chad and his team, and within a few days we had multiple competing offers. Chad provided his expertise in helping us wade through the offers and ultimatey selecting the best overall deal for us. Just a few weeks prior to closing, and after we had moved 1000 miles away, several issues popped up on the buyers end. Chad personally took care of everything that could be done on our side to save the deal. After a few weeks delay, Chad even watered our yard for us as we had not been at the house in over a month. We closed the deal and couldnt be happier with the service we received, the price we got, and the minimal effort we as sellers had to put into it. By the time the settlement check cleared we felt like we were part of the Hauer family, too!
ZillowVERIFIEDFriendly and nice guy, but ultimately cost us our dream house due to failure to manage the offer communications process well, and blew a $90k commission for himself in the process. The day we were writing our offer, he assured us he was in touch with the seller and managing the process, when suddenly another offer was accepted about an hour before we submitted ours. When the selling agent found out about our forthcoming offer, she said I am so sorry, I wish I had known. (We contacted her directly after the fact to investigate what had happened. Our offer was for a higher amount than the accepted one.) I cannot say with certainty that any of this is fully his fault, but the preponderance of evidence suggests so. Chad was generally responsive, but in retrospect there were warning signs. Many mis-scheduled appointments when we showed up to a home showing only to find that the house wasnt ready on time (this happened with multiple houses on multiple days). He passed these off as being other agents faults (repeatedly?) but we checked via back channels and other agents, and confirmed he wasnt communicating clearly or consistently. And this hasnt happened with other home tours or agents. I think he means well and is probably a decent guy, but is running more of a volume game on low-end homes than an attention to detail, client-centric operation suitable for a higher end buyer. I should note its also possible that Chad did everything right and the several other agents we talked to were all lying to us, all in an internally consistent way, but somehow I dont buy that any longer. Weve moved on to another agent that we hope will be a better communicator.
