Review Catherine was a joy to work with and is an amazing human being. She is direct and forthright, giving information quickly when asked, and a little more reticent in giving opinions so as not to sway the client unduly. She has vast knowledge of the market, the neighborhoods, the trends, the factors which will best show a property for sale. Easy to work with, she was ALWAYS accessible by phone, email or text. She went out of her way to deal with our property at the drop of a hat when we were not on hand, though it is out of her immediate area. She was always cheerful, never upset by the vagaries and delays of those in the lending business, and always positive and encouraging. I would recommend her to anyone - buyer or seller - at the drop of a hat.

Review We used Catherine Krueger to sell our home this past summer and she was outstanding. Catherine has been selling and helping buyers find homes in the East Bay for quite some time now. She is a long time resident of El Cerrito and we knew she would be the best person to sell our El Cerrito home. Catherine spent many hours answering our questions, providing us with objective data about the market, and gave us a lot of info on comps in the area. We were super worried that our 1925 house wouldn't be "pristine" enough for buyers and she listened to all of our concerns. She made the process incredibly easy and took extra steps many other realtors don't do. She scheduled all of the inspections for us and went to all the inspections (even when we were at work), provided us with staging tips, and had professional photographs taken. When we saw our listing we were blown away. Her hard work and knowledge of what it takes to sell a home really paid off - our listing looked amazing!! We received 2 offers within the first few days of putting our house up. Our house went under contract 8 days after we put it on the market at well above asking price (I was shocked)!!! We accepted and Catherine walked us through every step of the closing process. It couldn't have been a more pleasant experience. I wholeheartedly recommend Catherine Krueger to sell or help you buy a home. She's a true professional and a genuinely nice person. I realize it won't always be this easy to sell your home, but I think you'd be hard pressed to find a better realtor.

Review We hired Catherine to sell my house this year, when we were about to move out of state. We wanted a realtor with experience in selling houses in our hometown and who understood our neighborhood. Our house needed a lot of renovations and we were dreading spending the last few months of our time in California with our kitchen and bathrooms being torn apart. Catherine volunteered to oversee all the repairs *after* we moved and did a fabulous job. She coordinated the repairs, hired (and paid!) the contractors, and even bargained with them to get the best deal, all while we were out of state. She was very diligent in making sure everything got done, and the house looked fantastic afterwards.Catherine did a great job once the house went on the market as well, and really hustled to make sure interested people saw the house. When the first round of bids we got was disappointing, she convinced us that we could get more for our house and that we should hold off until we got a more appropriate bid. We did, and she was entirely correct -- a bid for about $35k more came in a week later, which was much more in line with what the house was worth. I should also point out that Catherine did a fabulous job of patiently explaining everything to us at every stage of the process. This was the first house my wife and I have ever sold, and she answered all of our questions very clearly, including handholding us through the bewildering paperwork the sale entailed. Her personality makes her very approachable and easy to work with. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone else looking to sell their house.

After dealing with agents who suddenly became M.I.A after discussing home budget and criteria, I was sold on our first meeting with Catherine. When we first met she was attentive during our discussion and while our meeting ran long and her co-workers left for the day she paid no mind and we never once felt rushed out. This was priceless to me. She made us feel as if we were her only clients when in reality we knew how busy and in demand she was. She was like this throughout the entire process... attentive with our work schedules and house viewings, communicative with updates on houses of interest, and extremely accessible to us with any questions or concerns.On an additional note, I appreciated how aggressive and opinionated she is as a real estate agent. She really wants you to have all the information available for a house before making an offer. She knows local regulations and points out any oddities she notices in houses. She keeps you well informed through out the whole process and communicates effectively. She uses technology to streamline the tedious process of paperwork. She created a spreadsheet with all the offers we received on our house that clearly outlined all the details and provisions of the offers. Review My husband and I began our house search in El Cerrito in Fall of 2013 with Catherine Krueger, who had been recommended to us by friends. We were first-time home buyers looking for a house in a good elementary school district for under $750k, as was everyone else in our demographic . Catherine was very patient with us as our search continued into the Spring of 2014. During this time we had made several unsuccessful offers on homes, not surprising since inventory was low and typically we were up against 10-15 offers. We finally had an offer accepted on a 3/2 that needed some work (we were ok with this) but came in below our max budget. A couple of things stood out for us while working with Catherine. First, she would check in at least once or twice per week with emails about homes that she had seen on her weekly tour that might work for us (not just the weekly listing email, which we also received from her). Catherine was respectful of our price point and didnt try to upsell us aEUR" though obviously our house hunt might have gone by faster if we were willing to spend more. Second, she was willing to show us a house any time during the week (and she was always on time) regardless of whether there was an open house scheduled aEUR" my husband and I both work and have a small child and she was extremely flexible and accommodating of our schedules. The best part about working with Catherine was that after our offer was accepted she really went to work. We knew that our home needed some repairs but the extent of these is not always obvious from the reports or visual inspection. Catherine coordinated quotes for plumbing, roof, electrical, and pest. She scheduled everything and showed up to meet all the contractors. In our opinion this was exceptional. I'm not sure how we would have pulled this off on our own but these additional quotes allowed us negotiating power and also helped us to feel comfortable with our purchase because we were informed of anticipated costs going into it. As an aside, Catherines network of contractors seems very reliable and the ones we have used have done good work. I can imagine that closing is a very stressful time for most; it was not for us and we attributed that to Catherines experience and hard work. We are enjoying our new home and neighborhood, and are very happy. We will work with Catherine in the future should we decide to sell and would highly recommend her to our friends.
