Catherine went above and beyond helping us get a home for our son Since we were from out of town Catherine lined up houses for us to see on the only day we were available to come to Memphis She also helped us through the process since TN is different from our home state AR She met window services and inspectors for us to help finalize the process She made the process so easy and streamlined I consider her not only as a realtor but I made a friend

David and I sincerely thank Catherine for being a true professional during the process of selling our home and then purchasing a new home. I would urge anyone looking to buy or sell a home to talk with Catherine. This lady knows real estate! Thank you Catherine!

Catherine sold two properties for us. I can honestly say it was like working with an old friend; she is always ready to answer even if she can only do it via text. Gets right to work on the listings and works with the seller and buyer so there is an agreement in place as soon as possible, She listens to what both seller and buyer wants and makes it happen.

    Answered Questions

    Different loan for renovations?

I highly recommend you call a local mortgage lender in your area. There are renovation loans out there known as 203K Renovation. Based on your situation, the lender will give you the best advice. Any real estate agent in your area should be able to refer you to someone as well. Good luck!

Should I replace my hollow doors?

Hollow vs solid doors - seems to be a personal choice. As to the function, if in good working order, I would leave well enough alone. Return on investment for this would be minimal versus taking the same monies towards something else with a better return on investment: kitchen, bathroom updates. Seeking the help from a real estate professional in your area will best serve you as they will know your market conditions best.

What are some green flags for a real estate agent?

I would suggest using someone who does real estate full-time as they are treating this as a true profession and investing their time and energy in staying current on what the market is doing, Communication is key. Being responsive is important because when working up offers, negotiating repairs, etc., time is of the essence. Also, having an agent who is resourceful can benefit in ways of overcoming any obstacle during the negotiation or scheduling of repairs, etc.

    Selling as is?

Working with a local real estate agent can guide you on the current market value of an "as is home" or updated home. Any home that looks cared for/maintained will represent well to buyers and will most likely translate into a higher price. Also, a local real estate agent should be able to connect you with a contractor for getting some work done. Selling "as is" can equate to a lower sales price and represents the need for the seller to sell fast.

How do you get rid of a musty smell in the house?

Have you tried hiring a professional to come inspect for mold? It may be worth the money spent to determine where the source of the odor is coming from. https://www.thespruce.com/musty-smell-5101186. Check this website for things to check as well.
