She has the intelligence, market knowledge, customer focus, dedication and commitment that makes her exceptional at her job, which for me, was to sell our home. Selling a 35 year old home, which had largely been a rental and showed its age, was a challenge. Since we were out of state, this needed a team approach and Carrie was an essential and invaluable onsite member of the team. Carrie helped us accomplish extensive home repairs and bring the home to market. She provided analysis and thoughtful recommendations on what to do and not to do to make the home marketable and achieve a timely sale. She was always willing to help and went the extra mile providing onsite monitoring and, when needed, coordination of repair/renovation contractors. Review If we could give 10 stars, we would! Carrie is simply awesome and amazing. We met Carrie at an open house for a home she was selling. Although the home wasn't quite right for us, we immediately connected with Carrie. We were completely new to NOVA but she made us feel like we had a long-time friend, really listening to our needs and giving us great advice. A couple of weeks later, we hired her as our realtor. In some cosmic twist of fate, we ended up buying the first house we looked at with Carrie. It was a foreclosure, so it wasn't your standard real estate deal. This is where Carrie really shined. The selling agent wasn't particularly assertive about handling owner repairs, etc. so Carrie stepped in and kept things on track. We communicated with Carrie multiple times each day until closing, and we knew that she was always on top of things, advocating for our interests. At closing, she even surprised us with some treats and goodies, even though we felt like we should have been surprising her with treats and goodies for all of her hard work! The best thing is, we feel like we have a friend for life. We can't wait to have her over to our new house and talk about everything under the sun besides real estate. Review Carrie was fantastic to work with when we sold our home of 24 years and purchased new construction. She really knows the local market well, and Carrie gave us fantastic advice on what we should do to prepare our old home for sale at the price we wanted and what to expect when dealing with our new home construction company. Carrie has a fantastic team that gave us additional support whenever we needed it, including a great staging consultant who helped us make good choices for fresh paint and carpet and worked with us to create a punch list of repairs for our old home that fit our budget. Carrie also has network of skilled tradesmen to refer, and the ones we used did fantastic work. Carrie's network of lending agents also gave us great quotes for multiple options to finance the purchase of our new home and were incredibly helpful at helping us understand the incentives the builder's lender was offering. Carrie was always easy to reach and happy to answer any questions we had throughout the process. Thanks to Carrie, we had multiple offers above the asking price within days of listing our old home and are very happy in our new home.

We called the listing agent, Carrie & Michelle Real Estate, and got an immediate call back from Deborah Davis. She offered to show us the house that very day and gathered some details right over the phone of what we were looking for. The next day she was emailing us houses that matched our precise needs. The next weekend Deb showed us five houses and the last one was our dream house. Deb got our DC condo on the market immediately and made the process smooth (even fun!) despite the fact that it was a very complicated and tortuous contingency sale. Review I recently worked with Laurie Perl from Carrie and Michelle to purchase a new home after selling a home with them a year ago. The home I ultimately chose to purchase was a foreclosed HUD property. Laurie admitted up front that this was her first HUD experience which we discovered can be very frustrating. I scored a little lower on the process expertise for this reason although I would say Laurie is somewhat of an expert now. She showed great patience and tenacity in dealing with government agencies. After much back and forth to make sure the correct forms were filed, I got my home and at a great price. Both the selling of my previous home and purchasing my new home went very well with Laurie guiding me through the process. I would definitely work with them again.

Review Carrie was very helpful and knowledgeable throughout our home sale process. We had several issues during the process including neighbors that neglected their property that resulted in our home being less desirable. Carrie gave us very solid advice on getting the problems fixed (which were completed within a month). When we had to push out our close date due to a busted pipe and flooding, she managed to keep us calm and gave good advice on correcting the issues. Carrie is very personable, competent and confident, my husband and I felt comfortable with her immediately. Carrie seemed very comfortable with us too- shes obviously worked with clients that have parent issues (we take care of an elderly parent), which was important to us. She took our complete lack of selling a house knowledge in stride and answered (honestly and candidly) every dumb question we could come up with. Review I just finished my first year of government employment after retiring from the Air Force at the end of 2014. It was time to put down some roots in the area so I did some research on local realtors. I ended up narrowing down my choices to three realtors and interviewed each of them. After interviews it was obvious that Carrie knew what she was doing. She was patient with my extended timeline as I waited for my rental lease to end, knew the rules of VA mortgages cold, and never complained when I would drag her through 10 to 20 homes a week. She always pointed out home issues, good and bad, that I would never have noticed and eventually got me into the perfect house at a great price. To my military compatriots moving to the National Capital Region...you can't go wrong choosing Carrie and her team. I've purchased three homes in my life but this was the first existing home I've ever bought and she made it simple. Review Carrie handled my recent purchase, in December, of a condo in Frederick, Md. I wasn't sure what I wanted and it took months for me to make up my mind. All along the way Carrie was available for questions about properties and the whole lending process. When I was ready to check out some places, we found an afternoon to condo-shop. That led to more questions and more answers -- and I felt confident to offer a bid pretty soon after that. Review We worked most closely with Michelle, but when it came to the sale of our existing home, Carrie was most closely involved with the buyer's realtor. What was most refreshing about this realty team was their responsiveness and sharing of information. We never felt "in the dark" and no question was too tedious or simple. While the current market had an unanticipated impact on the ultimate sales price of our home, there was never a question that Carrie and Michelle were working very diligently on our behalf, and they were able to bring in an asking-price offer. After that, they were strong advocates for us in the final negotiations. With respect to our new home, Michelle was actively engaged in helping us select options and working with the builder to get as much as we could for as little as possible, and Laurie Perl was highly engaged in the pre-drywall walk-through and pre-settlement walk-through. Review Our recent experience buying a home in Fairfax Station with Carrie Shokraei was wonderful. First, let me state that Carrie came highly recommended to us by close friends. Second, let me state that Carrie helped us purchase a house in the US n while we were living overseas, which is no easy task. If she can help us buy a house from overseas, she can surely help you by a house locally, right!?! From the beginning of the process Carrie was very easy to work with. Since we weren't intimately familiar with the area and neighborhoods, Carrie made herself available to show us a wide range of homes and areas so we could gain that knowledge and choose the right house in the right area. Once we found a home we liked Carrie was able to negotiate with the listing agent for a price we were comfortable with (our one and only offer). Because of Carrie's experience in the area she had worked with the listing agent before. I'm confident that personal relationship was what helped us purchase this home at our price. Carrie was very responsive with all of the contract details (again we were living overseas). She would always e-mail us with updates at any time of the day or night and was always available to talk to by phone. Once we were under contract, Carrie helped negotiate with the homeowner and list agent regarding items that came up during the inspection. We were comfortable with the results. Closing was an absolute breeze do to Carrie being thoroughly prepared. Even now, as we still haven't returned to the area, Carrie routinely stops by the house to make sure all is well. Its this type of personal attention (even after the sale has been finalized) that makes Carrie special. At the end of the day, Carrie is a warm, friendly person and an experienced, professional real estate agent. Its a great combination. She professionally knows what she's doing and how to lead you to find your dream house. She knows the market and areas that she works in. Review What a dream process. Having bought and sold a few houses in my life, I've experienced most agents are helpful while I'm deciding to list, but their excitement vanes after the listing is done! Not with Carrie. I think she was more enthused about the listing, photos, brochures, flyers & etc. than I was! Everything came through as promised and if something went wrong, she attempt to fix before it even got to me. I WOULD ABSOLUTELY USE HER AGAIN should the occasion come to buy or sell.

She was literally available almost 24/7 to answer questions by email, phone, text and worked with our busy schedules to see houses on the market. On the one occasion Carrie could not show us a home, Pat Fales showed it for us.In addition, we were given free access to a moving truck for 4 days. The process for acquiring that truck was seamless and made a hectic time for us so much easier and saved us quite a bit of money in moving expenses.Most appreciated was Carrie's help getting us estimates of various contractors because we knew we needed some remodeling and painting done. She was truly committed to us finding the right home for us no matter how long it took. She took the time to understand our needs and we always felt she put our best interests first. She knows the area very well, and helped us focus in on neighborhoods that were best suited for us. When it came time to make an offer she guided us through each step of the process, and helped us negotiate the best deal on our house. I can't recommend Carrie highly enough.
