Working with Brian Quarnstrom was my first experience working with a real estate agent and I can't be happier and more satisfied about it. He is very knowledgeable about the market, he understood exactly what we were looking for, and he was extremely patient with us. He never pressured us to take any decision nor he tried to change our mind, however thanks to him we learnt a lot about the housing market in the Denver Metro Area and about houses in general. We are very happy about the house we bought and we would have never found it if it was not for him. It would have never caught our eyes from the listings but he found it and knew we should take a look at it. He was right, we loved it at first sight. He also helped us a lot during the inspection and closing phases to make sure the house was in good condition and that we understood all the details about the mortgage.I would highly recommend him as a real estate agent, especially if it the first time you buy a house. We had no previous knowledge or experience and Brian made sure we were aware of all the details regarding this important transaction. Review Brain stuck with my husband and I for more than a year while we struggled to find our home. When we finally found the perfect place, we were ready to do anything to get it regardless of the comps. Brian's even keel, friendly nature takes the stress out of the buy process while also saving you money.We used another agent for our first home purchase about 8 years ago. She was good, but not nearly as patient and detail oriented as Brian. He defiantly has your best interests at the forefront.

Review We recommend few individuals or services - but are eager to encourage anyone interested in buying or selling in the entire Golden area to contact Debbie. Having her assistance in a previous purchase led us to list our house with her and the Golden Group, knowing they would do their best to sell it quickly, and for as close to asking price as possible. Debbie respects all individuals involved in the process, and lets you set the parameters of the relationship, while still being straightforward and honest about every detail - if you don't need staging, everyone moves on to the next step; if you do, she has professionals ready to help out. Whenever she can't be available right away, Brian steps right in and answers your questions, keeping the process on track. Even the closing, a potential scheduling issue, was handled efficiently and eventually went off without a hitch (Land Title took extra effort on our behalf to complete the closing). Should we decide to sell our current home, Debbie will be the listing agent, just as she is for most of the Golden Foothills neighborhood.

Brian was able to pinpoint attractive listings in neighborhoods that I hadn't previously considered and in a tight market like Golden, when a listing became available, he was ready and able to meet immediately so we could view the property and begin assessing its value in preparation of a calculated offer. Review I interviewed several realtors before meeting Brian, and he blew everyone else out of the water. He is knowledgeable, friendly, down-to-earth, and realistic about the condition of a home. While I was looking at the layout of the house, he always made sure to check the water heater, roof, etc., and knew just what questions to ask the selling agent. He knew the neighborhoods, market, and inventory well. He always followed up promptly, was easily reachable, and knew the answers to all my (many!) questions. I ended up with a For-Sale-By-Owner, and Brian really went above and beyond in also coordinating with the seller and making sure that my process went smoothly despite the lack of a selling agent. I am 110% satisfied with my experience with Brian, and highly recommend him to anyone!!

Brian was patient and never hesitated to show me yet another property until we finally found the perfect home for me. I had told him the "must haves" in my new home - one of them being a porch where I could put a rocking chair. Review I literally could not recommend Brian Quarnstrom any higher. It was my first time going through the home buying experience (though not my husband's), and Brian had thorough answers to every question. He anticipated snags and warned us of possible trouble spots through each step of the process. Brian had great advise and was open and honest with us about positives and negatives of each property we looked at. He had a precise gauge on the market in terms of pricing and timing. Brian fought for the purchase of our dream home long after my husband and I had thrown in the towel-- seeming to perform miracles time after time. Review Very disappointed by the service we received from Mr Quarnstrom and The Golden Group. We listed a house to sell with The Golden Group but because we gave an opinion as to how we would prefer our house to sell, there seemed to be a clash of egos. Instead of taking our opinions on board, since it was after all our house, The Golden Group employees chose instead to argue with us about the smallest things since they had their way of wanting to do things. We did not feel that we had a say in how things were done or any real impact in the entire process. Then, without our prior knowledge, one of the employees of Golden Group who was listing our house, went on vacation to Hawaii and did not even inform us who we contact during the time that he was away. In addition to this, with no warning or any reasons given whatsoever, we received an email out of the blue from Mr Quarnstrom that our contract with The a Golden Group had been cancelled. This was followed by a further email on the same day saying that our listing had been taken off and the For Sale sign from our property had been removed, this was after over a month of listing with them. We were given no explanation as to why this was done or why we were treated in this way but we were deeply disappointed and hurt in the way that we were treated.

Review Brian is very unusual:-He does what he says he is going to do, very rare in this industry.-He goes beyond the expected as a buyer's agent to uncover ALL details about a property and the surrounding community. He is incredibly thorough.-He is accurate with costs and market analyses.-He LISTENS to the customer vs trying to mold the buyer's expectations to the market.-He exerts no pressure of any kind and is exhibits incredible patience. Review Brian is a good friend, but I know that he gives the same level of excellent service to all of this clients because most of them become his close friends after he helps them move to town. Brian knows Golden better than anyone. When we were ready to sell our house, he sat down with us and we made a plan. He explained where it would make sense to spend a little money and where it wouldn't to maximize the home's value. He helped us set the selling price to maximize the interest so that the house would sell quickly, and it sold the day after listing well over the listing price. Brian handled all of the negotiations, inspections, and the closing without bothering us.

Review Brian helped us buy our first home. I had no idea how valuable a good real estate agent be until we got started, and I even considered using a discount agent. But in the long run, Brian saved us a ton of money and a ton of headaches. Some of the ways Brian saved us from big mistakes:Local knowledge: He knows Golden super well. At one point we got interested in a house that seemed like a great deal. Brian pointed out that, on a windy day, it would be downwind of a sewage treatment plant.Attention to detail: We went under contract for one house, but we almost forgot to order a sewer scoping inspection. Brian noticed this, and explained the importance of this type of inspection. They found a problem that would have cost us $20,000 to fix. We were able to bail out of this transaction before that issue (and others) turned the house into a long-term money sink. Negotiation skill: Brian's negotiation skill saved us a few thousand dollars on the house we ended up buying beyond what we thought possible.Connections: He seems especially well connected with other agents, and this helped us get the inside track on what was coming on the market. Which, in a seller's market, turned out to be a big advantage for us.Patience: I'd guess we looked at 30+ houses over the course of a few months. It was a grueling process, and we might have settled for the wrong house or wrong location for us if Brian hadn't reassured that we'd find the right house.Before dealing with Brian, I worried that a real estate agent would try to pressure us to take something less than the best deal for us (because they only get paid when a deal goes through.) But I'm 100% confident that he was always searching for what worked best for us, even when it meant walking away from a house.In the end, Brian saved us from a lot of mistakes, and we ended up in a house we love.

Review Brian seemed to lack knowledge about the local area. We were very disappointed with the info he provided and he didn't seem very engaged when it came to listening to our needs. As it turns out, he isn't even from Colorado and only has been living here less than a year. He showed us about 10 homes before my wife and I knew we had to pull the plug and go in a different direction. Brian seems very young and inexperienced in his field. I'm not sure he should be doing this as a living. I would not recommend Brian as a realtor. You will be better off being representing by someone else.

After trying unsuccessfully to do a for-sale-by-owner, we went with Brian because he was local, from a company that does have properties in the area, and he did show my house to a client when it was a for-sale-by-owner (I found out not many realtors will actually do this or encourage their clients to do this, so was impressed he did). He seemed very open and a nice person.He gave us some good ideas on what to do to improve the house for sale, and was able to get the house under contract in 2 weeks. He also worked very hard for us to negotiate the price we wanted (phew!). He was very accessible via phone and text. I never felt that I couldn't get a hold of him or had to wait any length of time for him to get back to me. He kept me in the loop at all times how things were going, or feedback the house received.I loved the fact that we could also do the paperwork up to closing online. We just purchased a new house in a different state and I had to go to a few offices 45 minute drive away to do the signing, or print/sign/scan/email back tens of papers and contracts (time consuming, annoying). It was so much easier with Brian doing it online with online signatures. We are very glad we went with him - what a load of stress off my shoulders!

Review Debbie and Brian got the job done. Our house had been on the market with several other agents for more than six years. It is in a spectacular location, but hidden away. No other agent made the effort to showcase the location like Debbie did. She brought up a photographer with truck mounted boom to take photos from up above and provided the listing with accurate photographs of the beautiful mountain top location. One of our prior agents, on seeing the listing, even remarked on the photos and said he was kicking himself for not having gotten similar shots. Other brokers seemed to focus on continuous price drops. However, I always felt the property was priced aggressively, but it is unique and it was just a matter of the right buyer needing to find it. Through Debbie's marketing plan, that happened. Debbie is great to work with; knows the area; and has a good sense of humor.
