Not only did it sell above asking but above what I thought was possible given the age of the house (25 years). Closing was smooth and on-time, no hitches. I wish I could say the same for the builder of our new home. Communication between the builder, the builder's title company and the mortgage company was not good. When others were ready to give up and push the closing date, Brent jumped in. Even though it wasn't his "responsibility", he got everyone talking, paperwork moving and we were able to close on time! He is a step above all other realtors weve encountered who brag about their many years of experience but then take the cookie cutter approach to buying and negotiating on a home. On top of that, he knows the lay of the land because hes grown up in DFW and he has the business acumen of sensing market trends to foster buyer confidence in what is otherwise a sellers market here in DFW.Brent comes from an underwriting Goldman Sachs background where he was frequently engaged with many C-suite stakeholders. In other words, Brent has very sharp soft-skills and knows how to approach a sellers agent in order to motivate sellers to seal the deal. Hes a Pit Bull with the finesse and likability of a Labrador Retriever.Words are not precise enough to describe Brent. My wife and I hired Brent ~ Thanksgiving when we had to let our previous agent go after 1.5 years of house hunting. We didnt switch to another realtor sooner because we really liked our previous realtor, but we had to make the painful business decision of letting them go to get a fresh pair of eyes on our situation before my relocation benefits expired. By ~ New Years, Brent helped us to secure a house we were pursuing with our previous agent but failed to do so as a result of our realtor getting frustrated with the sellers agent. Theres no other way I can put to words in describing Brent other than comparing him to a great cup of coffee. You need to experience many bad cups before you can recognize a truly great cup. For rookie home buyers who have never had to experience many bad realtors, all I can say is take a leap of faith and go with Brent. His performance will set your expectations high that in your lifetime, other realtors will pale in comparison to Brent.

Then, when it came to selling the same home, he went above and beyond the many obstacles encountered to make the sale happen. He did so much more than what a typical agent would do. He did an excellent job listing my home. We had several offers by the weekend that the listing went live. We picked what seemed to be the best candidates but ran into so many obstacles with their loan approval. There were several times when we thought the sale was not going to happen, but Brent was persistent and kept the sale alive. He was so proactive that he also executed the tasks normally done by the buyers or their agent. When the buyers lender was not providing timely and accurate information, Brent escalated to the bank district and regional managers and would not let the sale die. In addition, Brent took care of managing different issues that came up with the home and helped me greatly as I was long distance and could not take care of the issues myself.
