There was so much back and forth with the seller/builder and it was not an easy process (due to new build quirks), but Blake was a consistent, persistent advocate for us. I imagine the process was much more drawn out and complex than most purchases and he helped us at every turn. We are in our new home and thrilled we had his help and the help of the broader team to get us here! Because it was such a long process, Blake counseled us on timing to sell our old home, achieving a rent back until our new home was ready, and so many ongoing points of negotiation with the builder. I feel like we had ALL the questions for him and he was always quick to reply, share an expert opinion, or provide a point of view we had not considered. Original: We worked with Blake Davenport to sell our home in Waverly Hills, Arlington, and we are in the process of buying another Arlington home with his help as well. He helped us navigate beyond tricky timing to coordinate the sale among other big life events. He shared his expertise on the most efficient process to show our Waverly Hills home while we were still living there (with kids and pets too!). Blake set us up for success by ensuring we had multiple open houses/showings in the first few days -- that led to multiple offers (with minimal contingencies) by the end of the weekend. We had a few bumps in the process with the dishwasher of our new home leaking during the final walkthrough (which Blake noticed), communication issues at the title agency, and our washing machine leaking in the first few days after we had moved in, Blake was our advocate every step of the way. The dishwasher was promptly taken care of prior to closing, Blake and his partner Leah relayed our concerns with the title company, and they even helped us with the repair of the washing machine - which they had no obligation to do.
